Who?
- mdw7413

Complete player, just a little undersized/hasn't fully grown yet. Second rounder last year. Some people said he could be the steal of the draft. Center with really high hockey IQ.

I just hope they don't overpay for mediocre talent. The $8M for Trouba already looks like way too much and may cost a player like Fast. If Strome gets 5M+ or TDA gets 6M+ on long term deals I could see us sitting here talking about Brad Richards and Kevin Shattenkirk all over again.

I agree with the sentiment, but I really like Trouba and I think he's gonna be much much better next year

when the Rangers gave Trouba that extension though, their belief was that the cap was going to keep going up, who the hell knew the world was gonna go haywire

now that they know the world is haywire though, they have to be very smart about where they spend their money

his contract is a little too rich but I know Nashville wants to shake things up and I think Ryan Johansen would be an interesting target

right handed shooting, excellent at faceoffs

8 million a year though, very tough to swallow, he'd be a fit though I think

1) Bridge deal for Strome otherwise trade his rights
2) Yes, he's gonna end up in Philly IMO
3) No ADA earned praise this season and I'd sign him long term
4) Quinn talk is premature, he's been here for 2 years of a rebuild, we've progressed, Ziba and Panarin had career years, ADA exploded, Fox stepped right in
5) Yes we should, Hank has to see the writing on the wall, I'd like to see him retire, go back home and play a season with his brother where it all started for him.
6) Chytil has the talent, will he put the work in to become better in the dots?
7) Rangers are loaded on the back end, Hajek looks like a 7th defenseman and you still have Robertson, Zac Jones, Hunter Skinner, both of those guys could be steals, Reunanen and Rykov still in the system
8) Not sold that Kravstov will be, has to have a strong camp
9) Buchnevich IMO is now the first man out, he's shown a lot of potential at times but is still inconsistent.
10) Captain Chris Kreider
11)Howden has one more year to show he can hang and take the next step.
12) 3game sweep is done, in the past, after a 4 month layoff it would have been nice to have seen a continuation of that fast paced high scoring play but honestly putting any expectations on them wasn't fair, still wasn't on goaltending
Finish the last 13 later

Here is my current list of 25 questions, noting as I said above, updates from prior based on the lottery. The Rangers have several pressing matters to be decided, which will help drive the future direction and hopefully path to the next level. If you have any additional questions, please let me know. If not, we will start to answer each one of these, though any breaking news will supersede covering these. As a reminder, don't provide your answers to all the questions in the comments, as the plan is to go one by one this offseason. The hope is to complete all these questions before the season starts again, likely after the first major blush of free agency and before salary arbitration.

1. Bridge Strome or trade him. Good player not worth big money long term.

No other answer in the system right now so bridge him until another kid can take over his spot.

He's got to realize that if he insists on playing his last season, he is forcing the Rangers to trade Georgiev

It can be 10 years from now and it will still be too soon for me to bring up moving on from Hagelin. If he had any scoring touch at all he could have been incredible
