No i am serious, you trade Eichel if you get the 1st overall pick this year and more pieces.
- SABRES 89

You trade him to LA for #2 (Byfield) and Turcotte

Trade Sam to NJ for #9

Risto for a late round 1st (some team will do it)

Have a center core of Byfield/cozens/Turcotte /Mitts

Wing core of
Skinner/Raymond/Holtz /Oloffson (ours and NJ pick

D core of
Dahlin/Joki/Montour/Risto pick and all our young guys botts drafted.

It’s not starting over. It’s reshaping the team and loading up every line with young talent. Roster if it works out is a perennial playoff team and every good player is under 21 right now.

That would be pretty insane. But I still hate to give up jack. He is just fun to watch and I just want them to fix the team around him.

But to 89’s point. Rookie gm, rookie analytic head of scouting, soccer President with less games as a head coach than Gretzky and an owner that can not commit to a direction. You can see where jack would have had about enough of the clown show... but he’s just so damn fun to watch and root for. The kids got heart, just no supporting cast.

If trading ROR for the return we got made us the laughing stock of the NHL, wait until we trade Eichel!
This just can't be considered.

That’s where I lean. Let’s see if a real second line center, at minimum can get the players in a better position to succeed. All we can do is wait and see what Adams/Kim does this off season.

So they keep Bogosian, Miller, and Ristolainen, but give in to Eichel and his trade request?

How about trading the mediocre to below mediocre hangers on first before getting rid of the guy who is actually a fantastic player?

I feel bad for Eichel, guy's heart is huge, his game is huge, he just happened to get drafted by one of the worst organisations in the NHL.
- SABRES 89

Do you think they actually move him this summer?

Won’t miss Jack if we are making the playoffs every year. Team as constructed is a perennial loser for years to come. And at that point Jack would of been wasted more and might not bring back the value we could get right now.

Agreed. Olo, Eichel, Reinhart, Cozens, Dahlin...we have some real pieces. Need to solidify a 2nd line and we should get much better results.

I have no connections to mgmt or inside info...but no way in hell.

This city would riot if they did. He's untouchable. I had a discussion with a Rangers fan a bit ago about it. If you want to give us kakko, panarin, 1oa and more...of course we would. But without that type of overpayment, we're always giving away the best player in the trade for parts. They won't trade parts for Jack, or at least I pray not. No indications say he's even being shopped.

I wonder if Ullmark can be the starter now. He's a low end starter, but I think that particular hole is last on the list. At this point, getting a decent backup to replace Hutts may be the better route.

So in other words we do have 6 spots that are filled.

We should be able to fill a couple of those holes this off season.

So maybe ideally we will have 3 spots not filled.

That's pretty close in my book.

Not many teams out there don't have some holes.

That's fair. That game by Korpi was damn impressive.
