Hey i know you want to pretend you’re seeing something that the rest of us need to “learn hockey” to see...but that would be pure horse sht...cause the 1st line was working it down low most shifts. Coutts was a monster...drew one penalty late in the 3rd...refs could have called 4 more.

Coutts was dominant out there.

Giving him 4 missing front teeth/out of 4 for tonight.

Now hayes...different case...played horribly.

BUT good news...only 1 game...play better friday.

Also, none of our lines were “dominant”, especially after the first period. We played for 20 minutes and hung on as tight as we could. Sean Couturier wasn’t dominant tonight and needs to be better on even strength.

As for the Farabee’s goal. It wasn’t a goal scored from a dominating top line. He took advantage of an opportunity by being in the right place at the right time after a Montreal turnover.

It’s a bit of a feeling out period, it’s a marathon not a sprint, got the first one, let’s build on that.

It was a great game for Hart, good game for Provy, Farabee, Laughts and Giroux and okay for many others. Myers has continued to improve this year.

So not entirely pretty but there is tape to look at now. Lots to build on...and it was still a win no matter how close.

Was it just me or did it feel like the Flyers had a complete absence on the right side much of the night. I like Myers shot from the right. Maybe it would be useful on the 2PP too.
