Well if the tourney is cancelled the draft & UFA season comes sooner as does the push for 2020/21. All in all they’ll push til it won’t happen or they pull off a round or 2 to recoup money from tv.

Opinions change, nothing wrong with it. I think it depends on what they are able to do and how they look in the playoffs. Ive maintained they were a playoff squad next year for quite some time. What they are able to do in the dance is a mystery, really depends on the studs and how they handle it.

They have made gradual improvement year to year. With the young talent coming up I think they are on track.

D will decide how fast or far this team goes. Sure the stars need to play great but cannot do it on their own unless something other worldly were too happen. We have yet to see this team fire on all cylinders if it even can. If Gaudette & JV were to take off & take it to a new level whoa baby.

IMO they are trying to save money same as everyone else. Players are doing it so they don't lose half their salary and the NHL is trying to cut their losses. It always has been about the money same as a restaurant opening up for business.

it is my personal opinion and I am sure someone will try to tell me how I should feel
but I really did not like that group.

I have to say the 2019 team is by far my favorite assembled Canuck team. It still needs about 2-3 adjustments but I think Benning has done a very good job.

Ya I hear you. I always thought we would never build a club like that 2011 team which was so dominant all year long. But Benning has put together a foundation that will rival that club. Hughes is Norris caliber and Petey has Malkin like untapped potential. Going to be a hell of a ride for the next 5-10 years.
