Dadonov for 3 years is interesting if the team plans on rolling 3 lines

anything over 3 years, is an easy pass

Gerbe did you go to UCLA?

They just suspended an accounting professor because he refused to give African American students a better grade or not have them take the final or if they take the final to have it only help their grade and can't hurt it

The professor responded to the email to the students saying the course has been online and there is no way he can tell the race of students as he hasn't met them and that by doing so by itself is discriminatory

Yeah, he's 31 I believe. Has been impressive since he came over though.

Evgenii Dadonov turned 31 on March 12th, which means he will turn 32 sometime during the middle of next season.

Dadonov's top 3 projected contracts from Evolving Hockey are:

36% - 6 years @ $7M per
19% - 5 years @ $6.6M per
11% - 4 years @ $6.6M per

Even if the term is 3 years, the estimation is the cost would still be right around $6M per.

Too rich for my blood if any of those contracts are close to true.

Mind you I have a few, but the liberals arts degree in American universities have plummeted in quality since the 1970s. This of course, has nothing to do with the hard sciences, businesse, dentistry etc... I put very little stock whatsoever in any letter degree in history or philosophy anymore. There is some merit to the process per se to obtain a phd, but the rampant indoctrination on U.S. campuses has become appalling. The peer review process itself is most likely corrupt at this point.

He is a very good 3rd line player, but I think he can be a quality top 6 RW on a value contract who has been a consistently good player.

Note: He will be 31 on September 5th.

The top 3 projected contracts per Evolving Hockey:

22% - 3 years @ $4.422M per
18% - 5 years @ $5.283M per
16% - 4 years @ $4.828M per

If he would sign that 3 year deal, I would do that right now.

I would go as far as the 4 year deal, as that would pay him from the ages of 31 to 34.

Anything longer than the 4 year deal, and I would be out.

I know they always seem to find a way, but I think this might be the off-season to watch if Tampa is willing to make a deal or 2. They only have 16 players under contract and a little over 2mill in cap space and Sergachev will eat all that up. And surprisingly Arizona might be another team that might be ripe to pick someone from.

Idk if the FA route is where the Sabres need to go for their top 6 forward. They need a 2nd line C more than anything. I’d more or less package Risto and our 1st to a team for a 2C. Team/player ideas would be Chicago for Kane (He would for sure help out Skinner and make skinners contract look more respectable) Winnepeg for Conner (would still need a playmaker for the 2nd line though) Detroit for Larkin (Have to add Cozens IMO for that to even be considered and maybe more but the payment would be worth it). Lesser cost route would be Monahan (or however you spell it lol) wouldn’t be a bad idea but you’d need a more reliable top 6 defensive style forward. JOHAN LARSSON DOES NOT FIT THAT CRITERIA! Just ideas

He's a different kind of player, elite, can drive a line from the Wing.

IMO, Sabres need a true 2C, not a decent 3C playing up over their capability.
Tried that, done that, don' want to do it any more.

If they can find a productive aged vet with 2 - 3 years left, perfect, hopefully Cozens will be ready by the end of that period. That will be quite the challenge to find.
Is there a player available in FA? With the Cap expected to be flat, speculation is some players may want to sign for 1 or 2 years until the Revenue and thus the Cap stabilizes and begins to grow again. That short-term contract could play favorably for the Sabres...let's hope so!

Else, they are in the Trade market, probably looking for closer to an even money in/money out type deal as teams are projected to have lower than normal Cap Space. So RFA, ELC's and Picks may be highly desirable by some teams. I wouldn't think there will be alot of teams who want to take a package of say Risto, Mojo and McCabe ...unless a CapDump is coming back, personally I'm done with that.

Agreed. But we still need a 2C and there is no way you get him for a 1st and Risto

well.. if he was using the ship for covid patients why were nursing home patients sent back to the nursing home instead of the ship.. that would have saved upwards of 1000s of lives
- SabresFaninIndiana

I keep seeing this. The ship was not for covid patients, it was for everyone else. A ship is the last place you want a communicable disease. That's why those cruise ships got crushed.
