I know i'm "white privilege" and i'm supposed to be ashamed of it, but i guess i wasn't aware there was a rampant racism issue in Hockey...

Agreed Gump. One ass whipe does something stupid, so another ass whipe does something even stupider, and now everyone has to act like ass whipes. LEAVE HOCKEY OUT OF IT! That's what the NFL is for

Maybe because I am not racist at all it is the reason I feel this is going too far. Twice as many white people were killed by police last year but you never hear about it. I am sick of this nonsense. If a white guy calls another white guy out, no big deal but if a white guys calls a colored guy out it racism ?? Many colored people have a chip on their shoulder and use it as fuel. That being said some white people are totally ignorant and are racist. I agree with your call MnGump.

The social climate we now live in is nothing more than a bi product of outright hate. Whats happening now is a sham. Smoke and mirrors. Perpetuated by a slim percentage of mob mentality radicals, liberal media and a large majority of white politicians who have no backbone. The same politicians who have been in charge of running the "system" that has consistently produced "systemic racism". Yet they take no accountability whatsoever and continue to push their political agendas that harbor the very race driven divide that has been prevalent in this country for hundreds of years.

So instead of changing the system they built, they want to tear it down. One or two bad cops is comparable to one or two bad apples. But instead of weeding out and getting rid of the bad apples, they want to simply just cut down the tree altogether.

and now we're faced with the lunacy that if you're white, you're automatically a racist. At the crux of all of this are the rich "white privilege" media moguls and politicians pulling the strings. If people can't see what's happening here, and speak up so that this ridiculousness doesn't continue to spiral out of control, then i guess they deserve everything that's coming to them... and god help us all once true democracy has been erased by the cancel culture.

100% agree with ya Gump. It's sad to see this all happening. It's to the point where the NHL keeps talking about how the NHL has to act on racism. What acts need to be taken in the NHL on this matter? It may be predominantly a "white mans" sport, but that's not a bad thing, it's just because more white people are interested in hockey then black people. White people are not stopping others of a different color from playing the game, but they are trying to make us feel like we are. That in itself is racism. I'm tired of being labeled a racist based upon the color of my skin because people on earth before me were ass holes. Just sad, lord help my daughters in the world they are growing up in. I'm moving to Cloquet the first chance I get. Eat Gordies Hi Hat everyday and forget about the drama going on in the big cities.

I honestly don't know. I am metis, and our community is a 50/50 split of whites and first nations. The jokes go both ways and people need to learn to laugh at themselves a bit more. Some demographics are better at math/dancing/jumping, and even acknowledge a positive attribute will offend people to the ends of the earth. Funny thing is, those offended are often not in that demographic. I really don't know man. I have never witnessed that kind of racism, tho do believe that lines have been crossed in the past. Regardless, I can tell you that my community loves the Blackhawks, so those offended on behalf of first nations, probably are not first nations.... Basically a pow-wow at jets games, filled with good people, and the Jets even sport their alternative first nations jerseys. Love all around. Hockey brings people together so lets acknowledge that bad things have happened, but were all here together. If a black/brown/purple/yellow/white/green/gay Conner McDavidesque player wants to join my team, I am thrilled! Who cares

TB, Gordie's isn't all that it has been in the past. And the mills in Cloquet have made the river smell pretty bad, which goes throughout town. Not really all bad in Cloquet, but I would pick Esko or even just outside Carlton over Cloquet in a heartbeat. Better yet, pick one of the nearby 1000s of lake to live on and drive into Gordie's every once in a while.

That's why I like Duluth, 15 minutes after work in downtown Duluth and I am on a lake or river, not really worried if I catch any fish or not. A bad day fishing is always better than a good day in the office.Hell, even the Wild come to Duluth for their "bonding" trip before the season's start if they don't go outta state.

As for the political/racism/rioting/protesting crap that is going on here in the US right now, I also am 100% in agreement with Gump. I could go on about my opinion, but I will just get more and more angry. And I like to keep some places (like a hockey board) to just what they are. So with that being said, time for playoff predictions...

Al Stalock is going to lead to Wild to the Cup with outstanding goaltending and will actually be 5th on the roster with 4 goals. There that shoudl give everyone something to talk about, if not laugh at.

Well, if they decide to go to 3 on 3 for the playoffs, you can kiss the Wilds chances of advancing past the first game GOOD BYE. They have always struggled at 3-on-3, like BAD

This is true, Dubs has slid WAY down hill the last couple seasons. I could see him being traded for a prospect

Would that better be said by saying "I hope he is traded for a prospect".
