Good to see something real because most of these “from the heart” statements from players sound like they were written by the same PR firm. Holtby’s was strong too but a lot of the rest were pretty vanilla

To be fair, it's not easy to formulate what you want to say without taking up too much air. Especially when a lot of these players probably know what they think but aren't overly educated about the topics.

I know. I’ve got mixed feelings about it. I don’t think they’re bad but I think someone like Syd issues that statement because Evander Kane pushed him into it. And in that context I don’t know how much of him went into it. Again I don’t want to be too critical but I wonder if he talked to Kane. Any way, just kind of musing.
