The NHLe calculator is used quite often to get a rough estimate of what a player’s production in one league might translate to another. Using the one provided by Frozen tools (link here), we get an estimate of 31 points in 82 games played. This scoring rate would put Olofsson ahead of forwards like Jimmy Vesey, Zemgus Girgensons and Johan Larsson, so not insignificant but it’s not a guarantee of production either.

I've never heard of this calculator that tries to project NHL points based on Euroleague stats. That's very interesting if it's accurate.

If he can score more and cost less than our current Larrys, I'm in. Does he PK?

If the league is dead-set on a 24-team format, what would it look like if you pushed the wildcard seeds down two spots?

Instead of Top 3 teams in each division plus top 2 wild cards, they go top 5 in each division plus 2 wild cards. I'm too lazy to actually look at the standings.

I think that's still just the top-12 from each conference. NYI and NYR would be the wild cards for the East and MIN and CHI for the West.

You have top-5 from Atlantic and Pacific, top-7 from the Metro, and all of the Central.

Gudas blasts the NHL ....

and i hate this guy

I think we shouldn't play when the whole world is canceling seasons. Hockey would be the only sport trying to power through it like this. They won't let us go to the Olympics so we won't get injured, but they want to keep the NHL season running in these times. If we kept playing, our sport would be swimming against the current a bit. Money is money, it's what currently makes the world go round. It's a bit sad that they are willing to risk the health of so many players for money.

If one guy is infected, basically the whole league has it in a week, given how they are planning to have everyone play against everyone. One stupid stumble and you can cancel it all again.

Right, but it would be different for seedings/home-ice (if there will be such a thing).

Actually, Gudas is showing he doesn't know what he's talking about. The whole world isn't cancelling seasons. NASCAR came back yesterday. Golf is coming back in June. European soccer leagues have started getting into gear, though they're not playing games just yet. The NBA will be coming back as will baseball. The only reason the NHL shouldn't be playing is if they end up losing more money because the revenue doesn't make up the costs.

Also, Rudy Gobert proved the "if one guy gets it, the entire league is going to get it within a week" completely false.

I always wondered if his IQ was that much North of 40. I think I'm getting closer to my answer.

One minute it’s take all the money you can get, the next it’s a gif clap about how money doesn’t and shouldn’t matter.
I would tell you to pick a lane but you’re swerving worse than Ed Oliver after a 4 day bender.

Also, as far as "what if a guy tests positive" question goes, you know they're going to test multiple times if a guy tests positive looking for a false positive. If not, you treat it like any other injury, and don't let the guy play.

No, they won't. The testing capacity alone will prevent that.

The amount of people being tested are going up, and the percentage of those people testing positive is going down. Once they figure out the logistics of this thing, they will have a season, as they should.
