Kind of think Kap does stay long term: he has a history of clutch goals and he has that edge to his game that I think is absolutely essential for playoff success.

I hope they keep Dermott. |

It depends. If Sandin, Liljegren and Lehtonen all pan out there may not be room for Dermott |

Get Shorty - Zezel
I don't care what anyone says, the Apocalypse Now 'Redux' cut is absolutely outstanding and is far better than the theatrical cut.
Also, the second half of Full Metal Jacket is unbelievably underrated. That end sequence with the sniper is harrowing as (frank). |

Why? Where does he possibly fit on this squad?
Trying to understand the Dermott love affair. |

I'm not sure which is the more unlikable trait, the fact that he's a pathological liar, or that he's incapable of an intelligent thought |

I like the passion Dermott brings, but there’s something that leaves me wanting more when he’s playing. I think he’s yet to put it all together. |

Do the Leafs actually get to spend past the cap on their actual roster with the LTIR contracts? I thought they can just go past the cap with those LTIR players but I didn't think they can actually spend past the cap on their roster. The way Mike and TSN describe it is a bit confusing... |

The added material in Redux is interesting, but honestly overall I prefer the tighter theatrical cut. But either version is exceptional.
And yeah agree about Full Metal.
I also thought the bit in Platoon where Charlie Sheen smokes weed out of a shotgun was very prescient.
That reminds me, Salvador is also a great war movie. |

He's a good young player? Got better as the season went on and when he was getting healthier. |

Dermzy is still 23, which is kinda young as far as d-men go. He's got some tools. He hopefully continues to develop and get better.
I think the love affair is that he's a d-man that can play in the NHL, who the Leafs drafted, that has maybe a #3 ceiling. |

He's beneath Rielly, Muzzin, and Sandin on the left side. Where does that leave him?
I'd much rather trade him while he has value than play him on his weak side or bury him in the press box as our 7th d-man. |

Don't forget that Lehtonen would give his left nut to play on the right side. |

Holl started last season fantastic but then fell off completely as the season went on. Trade Holl and keep Dermott. |
