I'm just holding this space so I can comment further when I get through the vast in depth analysis on Vermette as a player. It's an exhausting amount of information to decipher.

1) Write article.
2) Get owned by knowledgeable readers.
3) Have no comeback.
4) So post a couple of personal insults.
5) Then write next article full of brilliant analysis, so that previous conversation gets buried.

The Blackhawks were very happy to have Vermette for the 2015 playoffs (even though Q sat him and Teravainen for a few games). He helped CHI get a Cup for the low low price of Klas Dahlbeck and a late 1st (Nicholas Merkley).

Only reason they could fit him under the cap was because Kane had a broken collarbone and was LTIR at the time, but they took advantage of the loophole.

Good player. Strong defensively, and potted a few very timely goals (Game winners is Game 1 and 5 of the final and a nice overtime goal against the Ducks in the WCF).

Ok..now I got it. Woody Allen is a bad person,, but you look past it because you like his movies, BUT DeAngelo and many others shouldn't be in league because they support Trump and are "racist"

No hipocracy at all.

I don't think those guys should be out of the league, I just don't like them.

I wouldn't want them on a team I cheer for. I don't see how that's hypocritical. If Deangelo played for the Leafs, I'd still cheer when he scored.

It's not in any way hypocritical to be disgusted by people but still not want to cancel every good artist in history for not conforming to my personal beliefs. I swear, you either don't understand any argument that requires context or you just find it easier to argue against people when you pretend there are no grey areas.

The issue is that you lack context. I swear, you remind me of another group of people in that whatever they accuse someone of, it's the exact same thing that they're doing. Nothing wrong with criticism of an action or words that someone might say or do. What you don't understand is that sometimes a person does something bad or says something inappropriate. Doesn't mean that they're a bad person. We're all human and we all make mistakes. A person should not be defined by an error in judgement. Now if a pattern of that behavior emerges, well then that's a different story.
Tanner, you have repeatedly made offensive statements in your own thread. Over and over. As well as constantly contradicting yourself. However, I don't know you so I can't judge what kind of person you are. You have no right to label people you don't know based on isolated incidents. Maybe when you grow up, you'll learn that.

Hey. I think Cosby remains one of the best story teller comedians... if not the best... ever. Enjoy art even if you hate the artist.

So you are more disgusted with DeAngelo supporting Trump then Woody basically raping and seducing his daughter? You dontt mind watching his movie(s), but couldn't stand a Trump supporter playing for your favorite team?
Thanks for clarifying.

The new owner did just re-sign Chayka in the last year I believe, whereas Cohen was inherited and obviously not as valued by the new owner. Chayka probably has at least a year if not more before the current owner possibly gives up on a contract he gave out.

Tanner, get your resume ready for Chayka's job. Might want to delete some of your past blogs in case they dig into that though. Stuff like Keller and Schmaltz being 85-90 point players might not help during the interview. Or declaring Domi for Galchenyuk a fantastic trade could make for an awkward conversation. Especially if your rationale involved Domi wearing Trump socks. If Rick Tocchet is involved in any interviews then you might want to take a bodyguard. Good luck. I'll be rooting for you. Would be cool to see a GM go 0-82-0.

Nic Pecan would have a job. 2nd line. Trade for Gardiner. Sign Franson. Are Gormley and Runblad still around? MAF's goal stick can be the starting goalie. It won a Cup for the Pens and prevented a Caps Dynasty.

Agreed. Chayka should be axed but he won't be. Not yet anyways. He's running out of time though. That's why he fast tracked it. It blew up in his face. He's no longer The Golden Boy. Hire Hextall just to piss Tanner off. More importantly, Hexy would be the perfect replacement for Chayka. He did an outstanding job of cleaning up Holmgren's mess in Philly.

I do find it harder to enjoy a woody allen movie knowing what we now know, but I do understand being able to separate the art from the artist. We all do it, it's just whatever you're comfortable with, and that's just a personal choice.

It's different for everyone, I just find that when i sit down to watch his movies it's tough to disconnect him from them which makes it harder to enjoy. Maybe because he's such a big part of what he creates, it's what makes his work great, but also hard to separate him from it.

All the being said, objectively, i dont think one can deny that it's a great movie, just dont enjoy watching it anymore.

Chayka should study what Hextall did and emulate it to a "T"

I don't know, Vermette was also a dependable 35-40 points guy, scoring at 0.02 PPG lower than Derek Stepan (who is '' one of the NHL's most underrated players'') with the Coyotes

Vermette in his 20s was fine. Vermette was one of the NHL's worst players for a long, long time though/

It's a personal decision. Doesn't make any difference to me at all. Guns and Roses recorded a Charles Manson song - it's not the worst one in their catalog.
