I am of the firm believe that Djoos will be a regular NHL defender some day. Either a nice compliment to a 1D, or a solid fit on the second pair. Was sad to see him go, but it was evident that the coaches in Washington chose Siegenthaler over Djoos. ( I disagree, but that's why they get paid the big bucks)

Djoos along with Milano were absolutely steals by Murray..

And the big Finn was impressive as the yr went along esp that last call up.

I think Djoos can be 2nd pair guy no problem... I really like his game.

I like Djoos' game. Hopefully he can settle into a long-term role with the Ducks.

Haven't seen enough of Hakenpaa to have a strong opinion either way.

Both 1 year deals, so not too big of a deal there. Both being one-way deals is interesting. I'm pretty sure Hakanpaa would clear waivers so he could be sent down but I seriously doubt Djoos would clear, especially at a million so he'll be with the Ducks next year. That means 5 of the six spots are filled: Fowler, Lindholm, Manson, Gudbranson, and Djoos. That leaves one spot and a backup for Del Zotto, Larsson, Guhle (who all have to be signed), or Hakanpaa. Josh Mahura has been pretty decent, too. Barstool Bob is going to be busy.

I think this is the make or break year for Larsson and Guhle ..who I really like.

Let's see a package of some D men for another finisher. Also the kid we got from Boston is a D man.

Plus waiting in the wings Thrun and LaCombe and Drew ..
