Kings have accumulated some nice supporting pieces, but they don’t yet have that cornerstone piece.

Thanks for reading!

Turcotte could be IMO, plus another likely top-7 pick in the draft this year.

Rebuilds suck. Ask any Wings fan. We're all praying we hit the #1 pick and get Lafrenierre. Our next choice is Byfield. Just gotta lose 2 or 3 more horrible contracts that Holland left us with. Yzerman is still cleaning up the mess.

Kudos to Kings fans with so far showing patience in the rebuild. Hopefully we're lucky and the upward trend in the team's play continues.
The TMac coaching change is looking very good so far. Last year the team had long stretches where they seemed to have no rudder nor fight, this season that has not been the case. He also seems to give the kids more time and more responsibility. It was maddening not seeing that happen enough last year, practically a lost season.
Excited to see the development of the D core, could the Kings play more like Nashville with the D being aggressive joining the attack and creating serious problems for the other team? With the skating of Walker/Clague/Bjornfot and the heady play of Mikey and Roy, pretty fun.
The lacking elements seem to be creative passing and as always finishing, will the prospects bring that? Villardi, Grundstom, Lizotte have shown a desire to make passes to the slot, it's a good start...

There's still dead wood like Brown on the team...

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Brown has been the single-best winger on the Kings for 3 seasons straight.

Good article...bang on.

I’m a flyers fan...we were in your position about 4 years ago...hextall got rid of what he could...stockpiled picks...then drafted his ass off...getting 8 1st rounders over 5 years.

Hang in there...enjoy the flyers while you wait...it’s about to get f’ing crazy in philly!!!
