I agree with your current assessment of Greene, Ben. A reliable, even if not flashy, veteran d-man. If he's willing to accept a substantial pay cut, then you bring him back as a 3rd pairing/depth d-man. With Isles' d-men frequently getting injured, he could prove to be important depth.

I would have to agree that bringing Green on bonus laden deal would be a good move by Isles. It is comes down to does he want to stay and for how much.

I imagine he'll get somewhere in the $2-3M range on a one-year deal but that's just my guess.

Yep, will come down to price but I wouldn't mind him as a depth piece next year if it's an option.
