Ran the simulator on tankathon ten times and got this:

1. Detroit -
Lafreneir goes first overall and becomes the future captain of Detroit, also a superstar building block NBD.
2. Ottawa (Sharks pick)
Byfield is going to be a #1 center and this is a wonderful start to an important draft for the Sens.
3. Buffalo
Raymond will be burying Eichels apples for a very long time.
4. Ottawa
Stutzel is available and the Sens have to take him. Listed as a C/LW, scouts argue that Byfield and Stutzel are on the same level, and in this case on the same line in the NHL.
2/2 so far, the future is looking bright.
5. L.A.
Drysdale fits a young fast paced team and will be the future top line right handed defenseman for the Kings. Heard it here first, thanks Doughty.
6. Anaheim
Holtz ends up in Anaheim and boy could they use his skill set. Great piece to add for a rebuilding/retooling team.
7. N.J.
Rossi drops all the way to the Devils and boy could Jack Hughes not be happier.
8. Montreal
Perfetti could end up a steal at 8th overall. Montreal gets another skilled forward on the farm.
9. Chicago
Lundell has loads of talent and continues a wave of youth taking over in Chicago.
10. N.J.
Rossi dropping to 7th was great for the Devils, and New Jersey dips again and plucks Gunler at pick #10.
11. Minnesota
Askarov could take Dubnyks spot before his contract runs out. Rated high but fell out if the top 10.
12. Winnipeg
Sanderson joins a young defensive core in Winnipeg. Samberg, Heinola, Sanderson and Stanley could turn things around on the back end for the Jets.
13. N.Y.R
Holloway is a nasty power forward. I don’t think they can pass on what he offers and what they’re looking for.
14. Florida
Zary was at one point considered for a top ten pick, however, the lottery has a tendency to change plans on the floor.
A wonderful get by Florida.
15. Columbus
Schneider is a old school mean big defenseman. Turns out the Jackets like their big strong defenseman, shocker.

So, Byfield and Stutzle, thoughts?
Number one center and a number one winger seems like a great get.

A+. Great effort.

I think statistical probability computes out as 3 and 4 being the most likely outcome for the Sens.

Regardless, they will get two very good players.

I am a huge fan of the Sens selecting Rossi. So, I am extremely positive even if the Sens drop down on their picks.

If the sens do get Byfield, should they look at flipping brown for more depth at wing.

Byfield is very young (only a few days from qualifying for the 2021 draft).

He likely won't play in NHL next year. (I think he should play, but the Sens would likely send him down for one more year).

A healthy Brown should have at least 2 or 3 (or more) good years with the Sens.

His trade value is not strong. Better to see if he can develop at the NHL level.

I'd be very happy with that result.

Laf is the best result but 2 and 4 regardless of who they get would be awesome.

Is stutzle a winger or a center though? I keep hearing mixed things.

I agree. Only way I'd trade Brown is if there was a team willing to overpay, which isn't happening.

I'd like to see Brown play in the NHL though. Hopefully he can finally capture some of his potential, although he's already being passed on the depth chart by guys like Norris.

If he did a centre group of

Byfield
Brown

Could be pretty dominating if both players met what's been speculated.

I wouldn’t be so fast to hang onto to Brown. Sens have not pulled the trigger to deal prospects like Ceci, Lazar, Cowen, etc because their ceiling was high and ended up getting next to nothing in return when they finally figured out they sucked. Sure, there are the Zibby examples, but Zibby never struggled on the ice. The team issue with him was his personality and the fact they would need to lock him up soon.

I’m still on the fence with Brown in terms of being an NHL player. I sort of feel if he was going to be a top 6 forward, we would be more impressed by now. He just doesn’t have the buzz other guys like Norris and Batherson have. If he is just going to max out as a bottom 6 option, I’m ok flipping him for another prospect in a different position. Have to risk a little bit to get ahead.

If we do not get a centre at the draft, I am ok keeping him and trying to develop him.

love Rossi's skillset but doesn't the fact he has the height of frodo baggins scare you?

1) draft Lucas Raymond & Alex Holtz (unless you get 2nd or 3rd pick in which case one of the centers)
Why? (a) At the beginning of the year I was praying for 1 of these guys; the fact we can have 2 is CRAZYYYY. These guys are both very smart, hardworking, and both have elite skill (b) Their both sweedish and with the success of Alfredsson and Karlsson these guys would work so well together and bring integrity, leadership, and a culture complimenting the grit of guys like Tkachuk & White (c) The Sens have White, Brown, Norris, Pinto down the middle. I am certainly in favor of them getting a center if they get the 2nd or 3rd overall pick, but I'm not sure I'd select Rossi that high, especially with his lack of height here. I've seen him play and tbh he's as intimating as Marty Havlat dropping the gloves (d) NHL ready. These guys played in a mens league and are ready to jump right into the Sens like up. Normally I'd want to wait, but the Sens would have an exciting year and don't forget the Sens still have riches in ~a 20th pick and potentially 4 2nd round selections. With the time they have to scout now and the focus ONLY on that (not like their thinking players and too much on free agents) this is a great position for them to insert Formention, Holtz, Raymond, Zub, Brannstrom, Logan Brown and possibly Thomson or Bernard Docker into their rookie seasons

I like Button, but he's an idiot.

Having Quinn ahead of Rossi AND raymond is a joke.
