Carol Schram: Canucks' Dragon-Slayer game on Sportsnet Pacific, Horvat talks to the media On Friday, Bo Horvat took his turn in the NHL's player media conferences, sharing thoughts about the upcoming birth of his first child and how much he misses being on the ice. Saturday night, Sportsnet Pacific is taking Canucks fans back with a true highlight — Game 7 of the first round of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks.

We went out an made maple syrup today at a co-worker's house. He had the trees tapped already so we collected the sap an boiled it down. A great way to spend the day social distancing.

Don't you have to be drinking rye & coke the entire time to make it authentic?

I’ll have to look it up again

Just started looking at draft rankings and actual picks for the Canucks starting in the mid 80’s. Kinda meaningless but it’s keeping me busy. Keeping it realistic regarding rankings and who they actually picked, three drafts could’ve realistically changed the franchise forever.

1986 Leetch should’ve been drafted, they took Woodley while already having a ton of wingers in Smyl, Tanti, Neely, Sandlak, etc.
1987 they traded the pick and Neely for Barry Pederson, in retrospect Joe Sakic was there for the taking and ranked mid first round even though our pick was 3rd overall.
1990 they took Nedved and Antoski but Jagr, who teams weren’t sure would come over, and Tkachuk and Brodeur were taken right after Antoski.

Would’ve easily won a Cup in the 90’s

McDavid and Bo in the same interview . What a snooze fest. Jake and Roussel telling secrets might have been a better choice.

Bo may lose Jake and Sutts this summer

Shanahan was on with Burkie on SN TOR yesterday he had some good actual hockey talk but I only heard about 10 minutes of it.

We would be a cup contender if we took Tkachuk instead of OJ also

But seriously, you all haven't head of the show on Netflix "Tiger King" yet? The strangest, wildest, most captivating poopshow going, and it's all true:
