I'll just reiterate what I said yesterday. Don't burn resources at the deadline, because one desperation move for a depth player isn't going to turn the Preds into a contender, and hang on to Granlund and Smith unless some GM is desperate enough to massively overpay for them. You never know when those big ticket names start disappearing from the board. Just no trading that #1 Pick for another Ryan Hartman, if things go south that's potentially a top 10 pick, and don't ship Granlund off for a late 3rd rounder and the 20th best prospect on a team with a garbage farm system just because you feel you need to get something for him.
I have mentioned a couple things I like about Hynes in the past, one thing I don't like is the seemingly nightly shuffling of the lines. Lavy would do it when the team desperately seemed to need a spark, but Hynes seems to do it just to overthink himself. I'm okay with breaking up JOFA, they've sucked together this year. I guess I don't really care as long as the team wins, but give the guys some time to build some chemistry together. |
