We picked up Hawryluk apparently. If that means Sabourin is moving to the press box that is a big plus. Happy for Sabourin that he played some games in the NHL but he doesnt belong here and that has been very clear the last 10 games or so.

Carolina is also looking to add and they have an extra first round pick (from Toronto). It could get very sweet.

All the bottom teams making moves except the sens and they have the most to give.

Starting to worry Dorion is pushing his luck and playing with fire. All the teams are gna address their issues by the time he’s ready to make a move.

Yeah, I'm starting to get a little bit worried at this point. Time is ticking. Teams are making their moves.

Problem for Dorion is that he doesn't just have one move to make. Realistically he has a minimum of two or three moves to make for this deadline to be considered a success.

I still wonder if he overplayed his hand with the Stone situation, and had a better offer on the table at one point.

The return for Tyler Toffoli seemed a little low to me.

unless branstrom turns into EK or like Chabot, the Stone trade will go down as one of the most one sided trades in NHL history, he blew it with that one, got unbelievably lucky with the EK trade, Dorion is one of the worst GMs in the NHL, he is as bad of Muckler who cost the sens a cup....

Time will tell.

It is quite possible that there is no desire to make a trade before the Chris Phillips jersey retirement tomorrow so that the focus is on the event instead of a trade.

That would be a ridiculous reason to not deal ANY of your ufas. The sens are losing buyers by the day.

If the Sens get a 1st round pick or prospect equivalent they should trade Pageau. If the offers are less than their ask, they should try to resign him. If neither option falls into place for the Sens, they can do the best they can on trade day.

Too many premature ejaculators wanting to get this over quickly. If multiple teams are trying to deal for Pageau, the asking price escalates as each asset comes off the market.

Lord Jesus it finally happened.

Every morning I allow myself one Tankathon pull on the lottery simulator.

This morning, the result was 1. Ottawa (San Jose) 2. Ottawa.

100% this.
Fan favorite - keep him if he's getting fleeced.
Wait until 2:58 deadline day take the Oilers or Avs to the woodshed.
I'm fine either way..

you're assuming that multiple teams ARE trying to deal for Pageau. 2 teams who would have had interest in him are already off the board......if they wait too long, there are less teams interested, and the price goes down

Possible that the interest in Pageau is not as strong as we had hoped and this is the reason for not getting deal done.

More likely there is more than one team interested. Bids are being adjusted to the changing market. Do not dismiss possibility that teams may be sounding out Pageau (with the Sens permission) on his willingness to resign.

Either we trust Dorion or we don't. For now, I choose to trust him and believe he knows what he is doing.

yes maybe....
but

he's under no obligation to trade him, there's no pressure here. He can literally wait until the last second. JG is as likely to resign....we all like him. Very unlikely he walks for nothing at July 1. So.....a mega offer arrives or it doesn't.

except that his contract demands are likely to be more than the team should pony up. he's a 3rd line center, who's having a career year, and will want to cash in on his UFA status. this team can't afford to pay a 3rd line center like a top six forward on a long term contract........so if they don't trade him, and his contract ask is too much (which it likely will be) then they do end up losing him for nothing.
