but a winger that has 17 points in his last 17 NHL games
stinks
ship them both out for another elie - homiedclown
Wingers become available a lot more frequently then Centers do. I would move Mitts or Sam for a high end 2C if that’s what it took. |

botts holds on to everything as tight as an anaconda holds it's prey - homiedclown
IMO, IF Trocheck is truly available and Botts isn't all over that to make it happen, it would be the final straw. Of course, it is possible that we may never know, but if it came out he wasn't actively in on serious discussions it is a serious dereliction of duties.

Top 6 wingers change teams very frequently. Centers not so much. Sam has proven to be a top 6 winger, he’ll hit 70 points playing with a Center on pace for 100. So would every other winger you just listed. How many 2C’s are available that can drive play on their own ? |

These young guys are all highly skilled, some more than others yes. Skating becomes paramount, and is something that can improve given the drive to do so. Strength can be improved tremendously, given the drive to do so.
I'd say the only real issue for Mitts is his drive to excel and become the best version of himself...which translates to compete level on the ice.
I'm not sure he has what is necessary to become a core player. This offseason will tell all that us needed.
We'll see. - IonSabres
He needs to go see Gary Roberts |

over the last 170 or so games
skunk has proven to be a middle of the pack first line winger, not a top 6 winger
148 points in last 175 games
probably 10 to 12 wingers in the entire nhl with more points
it's time to say he is who he is

Pretty much, in most cases they need to be drafted. However if one were to become available I wouldn’t hesitate to move Sam for one. |

you drafted casey and cozens to be your second line center, not wingers
expect a vet on the cheap for third line center, nothing more this offseason

Mitts has got the Hockey IQ, just needs the conditioning part, and Robert's School is supposed to be 1 of the best for that |

Rhino is a good Hockey Player, I still can't grasp why he hasn't been tried on the 2nd line to see if he could help Skinner. |

based on what we have seen from botts, and soccer man
there is zero chance skunk plays center under this duo
the skinner issue is 2 fold
coach plays him with crap and demoted him on pp
I think they should call up asplund, flank him with skinner and reinhart for 10 games
put vesey or sheary with olofsson and jack
maybe when eichel gets 4 or 5 points in 10 games with them, the skunk haters will realize what they have with reinhart |

Agreed.
My ONLY beef with Sam, which can be said for 22 of 23 rostered players on the team ... I wish he was more physical. |

I don't need him to play Center, good hockey player can drive lines from any forward position, he is a good passer, Skinner needs that. |

Bad move.
When the team has redundancy at 2RhD and 3RhD, along with some capable throw ins, and Picks, dealing a 70pt RW for a 65pt C is akin to a dog chasing its' tail.
Piss poor asset management IMO.
If they need help replacing points, then I'd move Johansson 1st in a package.
Proven playoff performer. |

There's only a couple players that are untouchable on this team, everybody else in the right package should be used to improve this team. |

I don't think anyone would argue that Sam doesn't benefit from playing with Jack.
Many refuse to acknowledge Sam's play helps Jack as well.
Glad you see it. |

Is there something wrong with dealing the abundance of defenceman for wingers afterwords which is statistically proven to be more likely ?
