Eichel would not be on this point pace without Reinhart. That's also a fact. We all saw the year he played with girgs and pominville
- jcragcrumple

But that's not what I read the last few days here

He is like the 12th highest scoring right winger

Move him
Have another hole

Sure, but 2C and #2 LHD are bigger holes.

Trade Reinhart and we make the playoffs next year

70 point players don't matter

- homiedclown

Gotta sell to buy, Reinhart and Montour's contracts will be key. Dahlin is the big one.

It's almost unfathomable that defense could still be an issue after all of the draft assets used and trades made to address the position

We are not making the playoffs because the second and third liners are below average

Anyone who has hated Reinhart for two plus years will not change my mind

Nothing to buy
Casey and cozens will be the solution

Either would Olofsson, still like to see how good he is away from Eichel.

Conzens not as much as Mitts, that's the key to another winger we need. If he's ready to take the 2nd line center job we get a winger. No need for a winger with no 2nd line center, that is Botterills huge mistake the ROR trade.

Olofsson’s analytics look absolutely god awful and he was on a 70 point pace before he got hurt.

Comparing Reinhart to Girgensons and a 80 year old Pominville is like saying Mojo at 2C is better than having Zenon Kenopka there.

Replace Reinhart with Tatar and what’s the drop off ?

Now if Reinhart gets you a 2C that gets Skinner going how does that not help the team win games ?

If Reinhart brings back a Jonas Brodin on the backend how does that not help the team ?

I never said give the guy away, I’d be happy if he resigned long term he’s proven he’s a top 6 winger and has his whole prime ahead of him. To not listen though on him to see if we can upgrade at 2C or 2nd pair LHD is false though.

I agree.

I don't agree we should trade Reinhart for another defenseman after we've allocated all of these assets for defensemen

We also only have slenderman as a RW prospect, unless you want to count Cozens as a RW which is really just robbing peter to pay paul. Trading reinhart does not make this team better unless it's for a bonafide 2C, and who's trading a 2C for Reinhart?

Yes but there will be many more wingers available on the open market via FA or trade then there will be down the middle.

Move Sam for a 2C

Move Risto for a winger that doesn’t throw up all over himself.

Nobody is doing that in season. Perhaps the offseason spurs some action though with the expansion draft on the horizon.

Add him or Lundell would solve a lot of problems.

Moving him for a defenseman is just plain stupid. Who is moving a 2C for a 1RW? No one.

I agree. But i don't think there's not a team out there that's trading a legit 2C for Reinhart at the draft or at any time in the off season either. We're better off keeping our 70 point disappointment than letting Botterill pawn him for a 2LD

Just remember, button pusher that so many things that you enjoy were built by me.

You enjoy the arena?
I was a big part of it.
You enjoy the Harbor Center?
I was a huge part of it.
You enjoy the outdoor rink?
I took that project over and was the reason why it was completed.
You enjoy New Era Field?
I can't tell you how many times that my blood and sweat has saturated those grounds.
You enjoy the casino in Niagara Falls?
I poured every floor and every bit of concrete on the project.
You like your building that you sit in, at a desk and push buttons in?
Yea well, I build those places for your lazy ass.
You enjoy the roads that you drive upon, the bridges that you cross, the walkways that you walk upon?
I build those for you because you can't.
I can go on but....

Just think of me at every one of those locations because, I was a big part and am a big part of those.

You see, I was an Advertising Executive at 16 years young at Adam Meldrum and Anderson.
I did all of the drawings and rough sketches for the Courier Express and the Buffalo News.

But as I would learn about myself, I couldn't stand sitting at a desk being lazy all day long sitting on my ass like you.
I needed to move!

So into the field of being a union project foreman/superintendent I went.
And 37 years later.
I couldn't be happier.

Anything else?

So we are trotting McCabe out there again as the second pair LHD ?

Pilut will be great on the bottom pair but we have a hole in the top 4.
