Carol Schram: Canucks celebrate Legends Night & bump slump with 6-2 win over Nashville Heading into the biggest celebration week of their 50th anniversary season, the Vancouver Canucks gave their fans plenty to cheer about when they beat the Nashville Predators 6-2 on Monday night at Rogers Arena.

Markstrom saving their asses time and time again is fun but it's totally masking how bad the team is defensively....there's a ton of work to do here yet.

Looks like we may have another late round gem in Aiden McDonaugh. The kid has hands and speed to go along with his big frame.

As dramatically as the D corps changed this year, I think it will do so again over the next 2/3 years. They certainly haven't drawn much ire this year but there is still much to be improved upon.

In terms of the forwards several of them just need more experience, look at how Bo's defensive game has evolved year over year.

Thanks Carol! The boys looked fired up last night, hopefully Wednesday night goes the same. Good to see them finishing checks and instigating some.

Watched the first two periods, he looked fast and like he wanted to be there. Had a nice shot or two too. Definitely a welcome addition of Schaller or Loui — time will tell if he can keep that up.

Bailey looked good, at least I thought so, Green unfortunately only played him 7:39. The kid was flying out there, and I wanted to see so much more of him.

Hopefully tomorrow, maybe he didn't want to throw too much at him.

Good to hear that Bailey had a nice first impression.
With ZacMac scoring and Ferland on a conditioning stint, it'll be interesting to see who sits.

Bailey looked good, lots of speed and getting after it. Neither looked out of place. Nice to have depth finally.

Thanks Carol, sounds like it was an exciting game.

Wonder if the Oil will be shopping for a C to fill in while McD is out, or just shuffle the deck a bit.

I was think Nashville might try and move Bonino, or Chicago after they lose back to back games.

They've been playing the whole season undermanned, why would they try to acquire someone now?
