I really like Jake when he was here. I could see the potential. However - I don't want to give up Anderson to get Jake. Anderson could be better used to get a younger top-6 forward with term . . . and making that deal doesn't have to be done at the TDL. Jarmo will do that at/around the draft.

TT - I've been beating that drum all year. We just don't have the horses to sustain a playoff drive. Our current position is due to a solid defense, and smoke & mirrors on offense. We don't have that player to move the needle . . . and although Tex & Foudy might make solid, complimentary, top-9 players, (like Bjorkstrand; Atkinson; Nyquist; etc.) they aren't going to drive the play. Tilt the ice, so to speak.

PLD shows that capability - at times - but the consistentency is lacking right now.

Use our defensive quality & depth (not Jones and Z), prospects, and weaponize our cap space, to get at least 1 top-6 forward with term.

Y'all really seem to be overvaluing a guy who has 4 pts in 26 games this season. Please explain how a Voracek for Anderson swap helps the flyers at all right now - especially in a push for the playoffs against the very team they would be trading Jake to?

And we're division rivals in a dog fight .....I know I am also clueless as to this hype on a guy we had 10 years ago. What we need right now is a 2nd center behind PLD.

The return would be cap relief for philly and the chance to use the space on other needs. Not likely to go over w the fan base but offseason a trade like that could happen. In season unlikely
