I’m definitely looking to trade DeBrincat and Strome at the TDL if we are indeed going to be sellers.

Take advantage of the value those 2 have when paired together. The rest of the league probably still thinks they’re good and we might be able to cash in big time on picks and prospects. But only if it’s the right deal, and unfortunately I don’t have much faith in our GM these days.

I’m looking to trade Bowman at the deadline.
Judging from Mc D’s interview the other day I can’t believe they’re going to give this (frank)ing guy another year. He should be launched if these guys don’t make the playoffs the minute the last game of the season is over. Other teams in other sports have done the same. This guy should not be exempt.
That’s why you don’t want him making any moves at all. Let the next guy come in and do it.

and are we selling Dach as well?

What about next year when Kubalik, likely, regresses?

Young guys need to learn to consistency=patience by the fans.

Haha! Not on this site.

you ever seen that first hand before?

Way the stretcher was on the ice figured it came from the Ducks tunnel or the zam gate.

I also really like what SteveRain has to say 99% of the time. But on this occasion I disagree.

Not sure I get it, his hockey takes are prime time legit, excellent. His political takes (which he admits he rarely fashions) are only prime time depending on one's perspective. I don't like them, but I'll get over not agreeing with him because he comes off generally as a smart dude who is a Hawks fan. So I'm good.

A. Why in gods name would we trade Dach?

B. Why is Kubalik likely to regress?

And what does any of that have to do with Cat and Strome being a potentially enticing haul for contenders that might overpay and help improve our future?

It’s not even that I’m through being patient with Cat because he’s slumping, it’s that I recognize his value(especially if paired with Strome) and with the TDL coming up and us (likely)being sellers I’m trying to take advantage of the situation.

- SimpleJack

They suck but you think they are going to get a haul? Which is it?

A. Why would we trade 1 of the few somewhat proven younger forwards who can produce at the NHL level and still gets quality looks and still generates points.

He's pressing. It happens. Maybe an old poster, unnamed source, can have his so called friend get him on his couch and get his confidence up.

Since everyone is willing to ship off younger players who take a step back, why not Dach then?

B. Lots of younger guys who have success regress the 2nd year. Maybe it came too easy, the league adjusts, they get paid....who knows....lots do. Kubalik may regress. Kubalik may ask for the farm like Panarin and Bowman may have to deal him.

BIg difference in listening and trading either/both IF the offers are can't pass up vs trading them because they "suck"

time To sell

Time to tank

We needed this game, and the one in Winnipeg. Instead we lost both. It’s over. Lets embrace the rebuild and look forward to next season.

Not that it was the overall deciding factor tonight, but when you've got someone as cold as DBC, WHY is he out on the ice in the waning moments of a close game?

Cause the other options are even worse even when they are hot. Dinky had the best chance, FWIW.

All good man. I totally respect you owning it, I've done that poop myself. As far as as your 2nd paragraph 100% agree.

The ONLY thing making this hard is watching the Penguins with a legit shot at a fourth Cup which would easily erase the Hawks as the best team of the 2010s.

I know that Russian kid Galeynchuk (spell) has been passed around a ton but that seemed like a HUGE price to pay for Zucker. I still dont' think they have enough to get past the Caps, or Lightning or Bruins.

I just can't wait until Toronto gets eliminated. You want to talk about a moronic GM...that guy is so far in cap hell with nothing to show for it.....

It’s not for me to figure out, as for the owner of the team, maybe he should start replacing the director of hockey operations with a guy that actually knows what he’s talking about and actually has prior experience at either being a general manager or a president of a national hockey league team. Then let that guy hire his own general manager, which in turn the new general manager will bring in an NHL proven coach instead of some kid that coached in a beer league somewhere overseas.
This (frank)ing sucks looks like three years in a row over $11,000 a year and season tickets not including parking in food and drinks, not included, and no goddamn playoffs again.

Why the (frank) is this so hard to understand?

I don’t necessarily think they suck, but Cat has been awful in a prolonged slump and Strome is inconsistent.

None the less...they, when packaged together, still have a lot of value and throughout the league would still gain a lot of interest.

And it’s not about what I think of them more so the current situation with us being sellers and the TDL looming. We might find a solid deal and that improves our future.

Is this concept seriously that hard to grasp that I have to repeat it multiple times to several different posters??

hawks could not afford another regression but they got one: 4 out of the last 10 pts and no wins in regulation...

unless its kane doing his thing...hawks can't score

smoth was very good in the third...but still nothing from close in and he saw all those shots...

Yea I agree that was a huge price. Was it smart? If they win the Cup, damn right it was. But that's a long ways away.
