The sad part is that he will leave this summmer and habs will end up with nothing for their asset. - deadpoulet
Habs will clinch a playoff spot on the last night of the season by hammering the Leafs 6-0, Kovalchuck will sign a 2 year/8 million dollar deal the following day!!

A 100+ point Hart level player at 6.3 for another 3 years during his prime vs a near PPG guy over 12 games at 36 who is a pending UFA. I think it's pretty simple.
1 I will say I was all wrong about Kovalchuck - I thought he might help offensively (but not this much), I just did not think he would have the right attitude.
2) Kovalchuck and Suzuki are fun to watch together, I am slowly getting on the train of making that a sure thing next year.

Karine being a Montrealer living in Southern California and Hab Fan for over 60 years who reads your blogs every time a new one is posted my comment to this blog is instead of jumping on the Bandwagon and saying that our Team is playing very entertaining hockey at this moment and I as a TRUE HAB FAN will continue to cheer and hope that somehow we can make a sort of improbable run, now that may be just my imagination but you see my childhood memories of over 50 years ago was waiting at the Players Entrance at the old Montreal Forum right by the old Forum Coffee Shop on Saturday Mornings in hopes of meeting the likes of Ralph Backstrom , Charlie Hodge ,Henri Richard, Ted Harris , Bobby Rousseau and others and even getting to know them well enough to sometimes have one of them sneak me into the practice and say just sit here stay quiet and you'll be fine, and having lunch with Terry Harper after practice ... and the reason I am saying this is if you are a TRUE HAB FAN you do not give up, we are a storied franchise whether good times or bad times and we root for our team no natter what and that is what loyalty and being a True Fan is all about you or your readers may say what the heck is this old fart talking about ... Its all about Loyalty and being a true Montreal Canadians Hockey Fan and letting the chips fall where they may ... AND NOT GIVING UP !!!!
I enjoy your blogs and will continue to do so keep up the incredible work and in the meantime if between now and the end of the season we have something to continue being excited about THEN REMEMBER that being a true Habs fan means being one thru the good and bad times I have been fortunate enough to have seen them win several cups and believe me its an Incredible Feeling ...
