Not sure how good Campbell is, but we definitely needed to get someone. Launch Hutch into the sun.

I heard that in 11 starts so far this season, he's allowed 4 or more goals in 8 games. Even for a backup that's not acceptable.

Clifford sounds like a mean bugger and we could certainly use some of that.

Isn’t Babcock still available ? What a disappointing team they have up in Toronto. Looks like Mike wasn’t the biggest issue for the Leafs.

Reminds me of the mid-90’s Wings. All of the talent but too soft for the playoffs. For this years team, too soft to make the playoffs.

It's the GM to blame. His inability to negotiate properly led to overpaid contracts which forced the team into cap hell. He then failed to make correct trades last year, and this year.

Once the season started, he had few picks and assets. So he ends up trading trash for trash in hopes of finding a gem.

He needs to make a legit trade. A good player for a good player, but I don't think he has the balls to do that. His team will faill, yet again...

Campbell has been ok, to his defense he is on one of the worst teams in the West so maybe on a good team he might look better.

Clifford isn’t what he used to be. He’s a 4th liner who can hit but hardly does, and his chin is dust so hopefully they aren’t expecting him to enforce because he’s just going to get another head injury

We don't know what it's like to come up on the azz end of trades with our current GM

Both teams will be vying for the draft lottery anyways except one team was labeled a Cup Contender and the other was considered a bubble team that's in a transition year with influx of high end prospects coming and would even be ahead of you had it not been for all the long term injuries

It’s a mutually beneficial deal. LA gets assets towards a rebuild and TOR gets a goalie.

I honestly don’t think Campbell is much different than Hutchinson, but hey, time will tell. Clifford is a serviceable 4th liner.

I just don’t think this is deal that moves the needle much for either team, but LA has better chance of a long-term win on this deal if they luck out with any of those picks.

Clifford is exactly the kind of physical player that the Leafs need, and Campbell is a better goalie than many people give him credit for. He's been on an awful team. Good trade for Toronto.

I think this will turn out better for the Leafs than many expect. Clifford will add exactly the type of toughness this leafs team needs, and will be in desperate need of in the playoffs. I'm really going to miss the guy. A fan favorite for all Kings fans.

Campbell is actually really good but played on a not so great team the past two years. He was once the 11th pick in the 1st round and you see the talent there. I think he will pass Hutchinson.

LOL it’s gonna take a lot more than a backup goalie and injury prone 4th liner to fix the problems in Toronto. One of the 3 stooges (Matthews, Marner or Tavares) needs to go.
