That Jones-Benning pairing posted some exceptional numbers in a game against the best in the West. 22-7 Corsi diff, 13-3 shot diff, 3-0 goal diff and 10-3 scoring chance diff. Even if Russell is ready for next few games, I let him sit to see whether this can last.

Also, (frank) yeah for Benson next to Connor! Hope he makes something of this opportunity!

Think Gio will be targeted at all tonight?

I don’t truly feel much animosity towards him but if it helps stir the pot and manufacture more drama then I am all for it.

I don't think so, but who's to say. I think it's probably safe to think we'll see a motivated McDavid and there's no better sight than that.

That's the kind of depth on the blueline we need going into the playoffs.
I wouldn't be against giving that pairing more minutes, however, methinks that giving them favorable matchups (and them excelling at it) is key.

I personally think it'll do the job, as long as we get serviceable goaltending.

I personally think it'll do the job, as long as we get serviceable goaltending.

It’s better than the oilers have had, but certainly doesn’t scream “contender D”. Solid goaltending will definitely be needed.

He’ll probably be a good replacement for Neal. Their speed is about the same.

I would like to see someone take a run at Giordano tonight. He’s a dirty player and deserves to get (frank)ed up. He’s injured too many star players with dirty play for my liking.
