Carol Schram: Canucks players pick up the All-Star win, get back to work vs. the Blues Vancouver Canucks representatives Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes and Jacob Markstrom skated away as winners of the NHL's 3-on-3 All-Star competition on Saturday. After rejoining their teammates in Vancouver on Sunday, it's back to work against the St. Louis Blues on Monday at Rogers Arena.

For the life of me I can't understand why Green'er puts Boeser on the third line and Eriksson on the second line with Horvat. It just doesn't make any sense to burry one of your best offensive players for a guy who's an offensive black hole but is still reasonably good defensively.

Thanks, good report.

I liked the 3 vs 3, I wouldn't mind a bit more defensive effort without pasting someone really hard.

Guess he likes Erikssons game with Bo and Tanner.

I've never liked Greens strategies or deployments, but he has the team winning and in 1st in the division, so there is that.

I should revise my prediction now that I know that. I had 4-4 with Hughes getting the OT goal.

Now that Demko is in net, 6-3 Blues

Ya you're right, it's hard to argue with as they're winning but something seems amiss there?

Well done Carol.

5-2 Blues Demko pulled at 4 Marky in for 1.

Petey - Hughes for Van.

Reality.

The real reality is, you’re wrong all the time so I’m predicting a 4-3 Canucks win in OT.

Not likely, Markstrom is in his 30’s, Demko will be our starter by the time he’s 26.

Demko is soft. I can’t ever envision him being a legit stsrter. He doesn’t have the competitive edge that markstrom has

Markstrom wasn't a starter until two years ago, age 28, when he's all the Canucks had or he'd have been a career backup. Don't judge Demko too early. Kids a skilled goaltender.

Wasn't this why he left last time? As much as I like him, if he's a problem package his rights.

It might be Green sending a message to Brock.

Or maybe even more cryptically, hindering Brock's ability to hit his contract bonuses.
