I hope Georgiev becomes a Leaf only because I know a Bulgarian guy who is an insufferable Habs fan and it would break his heart.

I would say these teams are similar but the one glaring difference is that Toronto can score lots of goals. Other than that, both the D and goal tending are suspect. I suspect the Preds know that the only way they can compete is to go balls to the wall, and exploit the bad D and goalie. Same with the Leafs, so this could be 10-8 final.

Or, they both took the break to shore up the sloppy D and the goalies decide to stop a puck or two. Then it'll be a pretty good game, with two teams on the outside looking in, both having changed coaches and both expected to be MUCH better.

I'll be at the game, should be a good one. This is the one home game I wear my Leafs gear and root against the Preds.

They've declined steadily over the last few years but it has been somewhat masked by steady goaltending. Now that Peks is showing his age and Juuse is average, the sabre-toothed cat is out of the bag.

Plus, Lavy's style was not really inclined to shut down defense. Maybe the new guy changes it, who knows.
