Gawdin is point a game down on the farm. The problem is the bottom 6. Might be smart to switch out someone from the bottom 6 like janko who's not producing, and put in someone new.

Czarnik needs to play. Put them both in. Janko can go on waivers and Rinaldo and Rieder can go to Stockton.

As long as the Flames are where they are, I'd wait barring another team stepping up to acquire Toffoli. If Tre can hold out till even mid-Feb, Toffoli's cap hit means less and less and he might be able to add a secondary piece as well (if he's not moving out any big salary that is)

Toffoli will be a disappointment if the Flames acquire him. Would rather they spend a little more on Kase.

I disagree they should be in discussions to acquire Toffoli now and get it done. The cap hit waiting a little longer isn't a big deal. What's the big deal is the Flames need secondary scoring now since the Pacific is so tight.

Don’t get me wrong as Kapanon/Toffoli would be a pretty good edition but I have a feeling Tre is going for something bigger and who knows it may even be Nylander even though I can’t see the Leafs doing it...if not I’m hoping it’ll be something really solid like Palmieri or something to that calibre...

Why does Tree have so much difficulty moving D for offence?
Secondary scoring has been a sore spot for years.

Or Hamonic. If the rumours are true that Hammer is wanting to get max $ on his next contract...meaning going to UFA, they need to get something for him. Especially after what they paid to get him.

But that's also why I might wait it out... provided things remain tight, they don't have to get a deal done right away. If they start to fall out, then yeah, pull the trigger.

As for the cap space, waiting just 20 days has 360k in cap implications, so there a hefty chunk there that might be meaningful in adding for the playoffs
