I don't always play the best players, I look at what my opponents tendencies have been for the last 3-4-5 weeks and build a team to compete with that - so I may not always get the highest possible scores every week, but I tend to win.

That strat does not work in the playoffs though, as you cannot see team tendencies unless they are in your regular season bracket.

This year it was 4 weeks of being 4th or 5th best in the division that week but getting matched against one in the top 3 or 4. Just really bad luck regarding match-ups really, getting others' best weeks kind of a thing. Stuff happens.

I do what you mention as well but likely to a lesser extent.
