Macavoy is such an overrated player, he’s good but they talk about him like he’s Seth Jones - ClaudeFather
If anything, he is an underrated player. Very young and very good. I agree he's not as good as Jones though.

There’s no chance he’s underrated, he’s talked about like he’s gods gift. He’s not better than Provorov. |

Medical update coming from Fletcher tomorrow on Raffl. Chuck's updates have been awesome this year. Is there any doubt Raffl is concussed and out indefinitely?
Good thing Stewart wasn't claimed on waivers. He will be ready to roll Tuesday against the Penguins. |

Self-righteousness is a feeling or display of moral superiority derived from a sense that one's beliefs, actions, or affiliations are of greater virtue than those of the average person. Self-righteous individuals are often intolerant of the opinions and behaviors of others. - dcflyerfan71

He is a blackhole out there, nothing good going on. I’m sure he’s a great guy but the game has sure passed him and it’s embarrassing when we have him in the lineup. He goes for 20 seconds and gets off and you can tell the guys he’s out there with aren’t even looking his way. |

I wonder if NoPa is in shambles since Stewart is no longer in the room to support him? Also, who is the ever-important 13th forward, you know the position that no one under contract to the Flyers could fill except him.
Every single poster who defended Stewart being on the roster noted that he was best suited as the 13 forward, cause, even though he saw the ice, the 13th forward never plays. |

First statement I said he’s good, later on mentioned he’s talked of as gods gift, he’s not and he’s not close. Not sure how you always twist this crap in your mind. Clearly by mentioning Provorov I think he’s somewhere beneath him and by mentioning he was a good player earlier my view couldn’t be that bad. |

I think we may be having two different conversations. I'm talking from the perspective of making a move for the short term for this season for a potential playoff run. - MJL
My desire, at this point, is a serious cup run in a reasonable amount ubt of time. I already know we may not agree on what that amount of time is.
Because of that, Im not interested in them trading any resources to make a borderline playoff run this year if it pushes out a serious run longer. |

Wow, another comment that doesn’t make sense. I’m shocked. While we’re on the subject, I slept very well, thank you. |

The only twisting being done here is on your part. Who exactly is talking about him as gods gift? I think you're exaggerating. I did not state or insinuate that you don't think he is a good player. I know that he is a really good young defenseman.

We're close to being on the same page then. I think what we'll see through this season is that even with the moves that Fletcher made, the team is still in the same position that it was under Hextall. Waiting on the young players. How fast they grow and develop is what will dictate how soon this team is ready for a serious cup run. The real question is we saw how this team conducted business this past off season. How will they approach the next off season? The top executive is on record as saying he wants the team to be a cap team. |

To add, why would I be disappointed about the Flyers winning last night? I’m frustrated with this team because they’re not meeting expectations. We hired Alain Vigneault and two top notch assistance this past summer. You signed Kevin Hayes to a 7.14 million dollar long term deal. Traded for Matt Niskanen and Justin Braun. This is called upgrading. So why as a fan shouldn’t I be frustrated that we’re currently on the outside of the wild card race, with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Carolina Hurricanes holding those spots, even after a victory? We should be top (frank)in three in this division!! Pitts has lost Crosby and Malkin at some point in this season and keep truckin’. We lose anyone or nobody at all and we continue to struggle. We’re a mess, and we have a lot of areas to clean up. We’re a mess on the road. Clean it up! |

You’re crying day after day is beyond annoying, everyone wants the team to be better but we don’t female dog every chance we get. We’ve put some good games together in the last 5 with some coming against very strong teams. A win against Pittsburgh would go a long way heading into the break. |

As usual you fail to comprehend anything people here say properly.
1) No one says Stewart is a good signing
2) No one says Stewart is an NHL player
What you fail to understand is Stewart has played 16 games out of 49 games. So yes, he rarely plays. A last era backup goalie plays more than he does. It does no one any benefit to have a young player sitting in the pressbox for 33 games out of 49. A guy like Stewart is a better fit for a 13th guy because he is what he is. There is no developing him, that time has long past. Putting a kid like NAK in as 13th forward prevents him from improving his game. You can only improve through playing.
If you want to say Knight was a better fit for 13th forward by all means go ahead, that is a true fact. However he chose to leave. Perhaps Fletcher has some loyalty to a fault mentality towards Stewart however any problem with the team has nothing to do with him. He is merely a fly on the wall.
It isn't Stewart's fault our goalies have struggled on the road
It isn't Stewart's fault our young Dmen are making mistakes\bad plays
It isn't Stewart's fault Giroux's production is down
It isn't Stewart's fault this team is inconsistent
It isn't Stewart's fault we are up against the Cap
It isn't Stewart's fault NoPa has Migraines and Lindblom has Cancer |

And somehow you personally attacking me makes you feel tough?
You can’t put together good games half the time with high expectations. I’m not gonna shoeshine a piece of poop and tell you it’s pretty. It’s still a piece of poop. Moron! |
