Yes to secondary scoring.

Hodge was a young guy that they thought would never reach his potential. Played 4th line on the Hawks. Stanfield for the Hawks was the equivalent of a 13th forward today. The Hawks were going to lose him in the expansion draft. Esposito was considered a lavender sniffer in addition to speaking his mind.

Scenario sound familiar???

- LAHawk

Is that the Stanfield who had big years with the Rangers on a line with Gilbert and Ratelle?

Hodge was 6'2" over 200 lbs, Esposito was bigger. That had to be fun seeing them coming down the chute when players were smaller.

Think you're thinking of a Ranger named Vic Hadfield.

For that time frame those guys were huge, not many six footers in that era, and 200 pounds was an anomaly , most players were 5’10 and 180lbs.

OK...I kinda missed on this prediction....glad I did....(so far).

Now, can they not ease up, and keep coming at those dastardly Habbers!!!

Hawks better put a little nasty in their 2nd period or the Habs will get back into this. Take the body boys !!

Gilles Marotte and Jack Norris. Marotte was supposedly the big get. Talk about soft. AS my Dad said back then, looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

And......no freeking idea why Kubalik is not on PP 1 instead of Dach. This coach makes my head spin sometimes. Gotta go with the HOT hand rookie.

The refs need to charge MTL with a time-out. Phony injury.

Lucky they didn’t stop play when Lindgren lost his blocker.

A little too late, I fear - but unlike last year, not winning games on offense alone.

So we have to resign Lehner, Kubliak, and Strome and we have 9 mil maybe as much as 11 mil to do it with.

I think Saad is a likely candidate to move and Maata would give us flexibility.

One Rockford update is that John Quenneville’s older brother Peter is with the Hogs on an amateur tryout. Yesterday was his first game.

Originally drafted by the Jackets as a late rounder. Career minor leaguer. Not a difference maker by any stretch and clearly just forward depth for a depleted Hogs roster.

Once the Hogs are fully healthy, he’ll be released.

Yeah. My old man ran into him there a couple of times. Got him all excited telling him the Hawks were getting new uniforms.

Then dropped the punch line on him. Told him yeah, skirts and blouses.

Not for long. Sadly. i fear for him every time he takes a hit with his concussion history.

Lehner 4 years 7M.
Kubs and strome are RFAs so we have leverage.

I see Kubs getting a contract similar to Kaspari Kapanen from the Maple Leafs. 3 years 3M.

Strome is probably in the 3-4M category.

We have plenty of cap space. 11M when both goalies come off the books.

Gus and Saad for Danault. We need another top center that wins faceoffs and forechecks like that kid does.

Should’ve never traded him to begin with. Quite possibly Stan’s most egregious move.
