Wow, as the first period progressed, I was like ok, maybe this is a long overdue, come-back-to-earth episode of the where this team really is, and how the injuries should affect a team. And how about MacKinnon? He's easily the equivalent of 1 1/2 humans, LOL. In any event, I couldn't have been more wrong. The buy-in to the system is incredible, and the results obvious. Never say die. How many teams could plow through such a extended stretch without the likes of 87, 8, 27, 4, etc, let alone many other games lost to the guys who have come back? GO PENS!!
- Cousinskrid

I agree on the first period, I thought a long awaited ass kicking was coming but MM kept them in it.

Mackinnon is a monster, if there was one player that could somehow end up in Pitt i wish it was him. I remember watching him in Halifax and thinking the same thing. It was like he was playing against children.

I really like Pitts ot game, how they slow it down as opposed to full speed chaos going end to end till someone scores. Whoever is in charge of ot play needs to take over special teams.

TIOPS reporting there has been interest from the Pens and Wild doing a Bjug/Zucker swap. Other pieces involved, but these are the main ones.

Supposedly Guerin has had his sights set on Bjugstad since he got to the wild.

Some random observations from attending last night’s game IRL:

-John Marino is unreal. ZERO panic in him. When someone gets in his face, he just calmly holds the puck until the best possible option presents itself.

-Murray was spectacularly good, except for that one moment he was spectacularly awful.

-Jack Johnson was noticeably better than the last time I saw him IRL (Jan 2019 in Vegas). Bad decision making was reduced almost to zero and seemed to move better also.

-This Avs core will likely match or exceed their late 90’a core. Very deep, very complete. If they ever get above-average goaltending, look out.

-Pens fans travel insanely well. Last night felt like a home game. You could tell it grated on the Avs fans in the stands.

I’m off to explore Denver, my thanks to everyone who make it such a memorable experience.

Another game, another great team win. Nothing, including injuries or fluke puck bounces, seems to rattle this team. Glad Murray stood tall as the Pens will need him down the stretch. Marino continues to amaze. Coyotes struggling to score. Let’s take the 2 points and get back to the Burg.

Marino was great last night. I still can't believe he walked into the NHL and is playing like this. He reminds me of a little better version of Paul Martin. Better skater and a little better skill, but extremely steady. Dude is a revelation considering expectations.

I'd also mention ZAR. I haven't been his biggest fan, but he played a fantastic game last night. I wish he played every game with that kind of effort. Every time he hit the ice he was noticeable. That's what I don't understand about him. He's capable of playing like that and we don't see it all that often. I know he's a good defensive player, but he can skate better than he normally shows and hits better too. If he plays like that on a regular basis, he might actually be worthy of the selke mentions.

ZAR was low-key excellent. Everyone was at least 8/10 last night. Total team effort against a legit opponent.

Raanta left the game last night with an injury. If both starters are out for awhile we will get to see how much of their team game is relying on elite goaltending. Looking forward to Tanner’s blogs if they get blown out.

Yeah skating for JJ has never been a problem before. He’s always been a very good skater. He moves well, doesn’t have a problem crossing over either way, he’s a damn good athlete but his decision making and hockey IQ have always been his downfall. His athleticism is what got him drafted so high (and what made him so much better than others in his college days), but his decision making never improved in the NHL (and still sucks to be honest. Just doesn’t suck as much as last season, and JJ a 3rd pair role that’s fine).

#Pens practice just got underway. All the healthy players are in attendance, plus Crosby in a regular black jersey. -MC

Per Pens Inside Scoop.

Crosby has worn a black jersey before. We will have to wait to see how this plays out.

There’s really no rush. I’m glad they’re moving slow with him.

I wish he was able to bury that breakaway goal with a few seconds left in the 3rd. He deserves it more than anyone right now

So Sid took rushes with Hornqvist on the right and McCann and Simon rotating on the left. I know which one I'm voting for.

What's the definition of ODing with weed ?...there's no realistically achievable toxic level of THC. You'd basically have to consume your body weight in THC. Like smoke 30000 joints in a day or eat your body weight in extremely potent edibles. Thats not happening. There's never been a case of someone strictly dying from too much THC consumption. There's no canabanoid receptors in your pulmonary system. You're not gonna die from it though you might think it haha. That article states "it's difficult to die from marijuana consumption" and with good reason. It's almost down right impossible. How many recorded deaths in history strictly because of THC OD? Zero. How about booze though?..... I've eaten north of 300 edibles in my life. Dozens of times playing hockey. Dozens of time swimming or hiking crazy trails here where I live. My memory is fantastic. My cardio is top notch. That plant has a plethora of benefits and alot can even be achieved without even getting a buzz from it....the stigma remains though. Kids definitely shouldn't have it but adults should in some form IMO.
