Botterill needs to announce to the other GMs he's not afraid of winning anymore. The 1st, Miller, Mittelstadt, Samuelsson and Johnson among other things all need to be available

You simply CANNOT waste anymore of elite Eichel time

Get. A. Center.

they need to get a second line center asap and flip johansson to rw

skinner-someone-johansson

instead we will plug along and then call casey back up in Jan and try him as the second line center for a few games

or...gasp...move skunk down to the mojo/skinner line and move Okposo up...the $6 million fourth liner has been playing very well and with a lot of conviction since he returned

You're another gm.

Would you want our trash?

He's going to have to trade someone he may not want to, if he seriously wants to add young, NHL-ready talent to this team.

From what 89 and Homie have said, he wants to keep all his toys. That's not going to cut it.

I would eat my hat if Okposo could withstand top line minutes for one game, let alone a string of games, and be even somewhat impactful.

Yep. I understand the past trades, backfilling the depth on this team by going out and grabbing all the middle of the road players you can for other middle of the road players or mid picks or whatever. But now that you have that depth, it's time to add some real, actual impact. Starting with 2C. A competent winger can be had for peanuts.

Making the obvious move would give them 3 quality lines and make a world of difference.

maybe...however, what do you have at No. 2 right wing?...and, he's played better than skunk has the last two games...and, the mojo line needs more skill...and, you could put Andrew peters on the Eichel line and it wouldn't hurt, that's how great the captain is playing

That's not a bad idea Pach's, seems like that hit to the head knocked something back into place.

I was a patience guy until November. Now I'm just sick of seeing uselessness on lines without Eichel.

Know, don't everyone get heated, what would Dahlin bring back in a trade.

100% agree on the above. The time for action is now.

If he doesn't make the obvious move to add another quality forward and they miss the playoffs again by fading off, he doesn't get to use the excuse that no quality moves were available.

Getting someone to 2C and Johansson to the wing. Works bring balance to the force.

So I agree

Mittelstadt, Miller and a 1st should get you almost anything you want

May be a tad much to ask for but can said center also win faceoffs?
I have no charts or graphs but one would think winning more face offs would help. I can think of a few games that would have got a better outcome from like the Florida blown lead late earlier in the year

Yes we won in SO, but we also gave them a point which in a few months could be the difference between hockey games and tee times

Just thinking outside the box, could he get you your young 2C and RW, really like the kid. So don't think I want to trade him.
