Ok and I told you them also not being listed in top ranking but hey you will never believe it because I said it.

And what players were crazy reaches based on their draft rankings? Hell, I think most of our draft picks were ranked higher than where they were drafted.

Trading 1st round draft picks, good prospects, and young roster players for established players. And before you try and suggest subban, none of the pieces moved qualify.

So you are constantly talking down to me but you cant remember the total assets given up for Grabner and Lovejoy for a play off run. Pretty close to going all in for a team with not much at all at that point.

LMFAO that was not close to going all in. I hope this is just a joke

That was rewarding the team with some extra help for playing well and being in a spot to make a playoff run

We paid a second round pick and a mid tier prospect for a rental. Thats literally the typical price, and now think that it came from our division rival. Not an overpayment at all. You're a clown. Done responding to you, especially after the "Smith is on a ticking clock" comment. Talk about horrible takes.

Honestly I'm just doing my best to understand what you are trying to say. Why else would you bring up rankings?

Please you all replied to my comments on a board for people to express their feeling for the team.

I did that you all replied to me. I never once put words into anyones mouth who didnt directly do that to me in their post I was replying to at the time.

You and that other guy can say things that are generaliztions all the time and no one is in here taking it literally but when i say something like we draft safe players do you honestly believe I mean we never ever draft anything but ? Or is it more likely that in a conversation over the internet that its obviously not literal?

I never said anything to that other guy he just started replying so im going to reply back.

Yeah me to. I answered youre question pretty clearly .

You asked me how I came to the conclussion that most of your prospects arent high end and I told you based off of
Where they where selected in the draft
Their production pre and post draft
Our lack of inclusion in the top prospect rankings.

So thats where rankings got brought up and thats all was mentioned about these rankings.

Pretty pointless discussion. I don't think Shero is under any threat...yet. But another straight season like this and you have to consider options.

What Columbus did last year was definitely what "going all in" looks like. Sold the farm for a chance to compete.
- Pomegrant

Thats the thing though I said he went all in to make the play offs you are saying that I have said they went all in to win a cup. Thats a huuge difference.

He went all-in to keep Hall. If we made the playoffs as a result, the goal is to win the Cup, obviously. So one could say he went all-in to win the Cup as a result of going all-in to get to the playoffs as a result of going all-in to keep Hall.

The C would look pretty good on Palms.
- Devilish4

Nope. I like Palms, but Zajac gets it next year. It will be his last year as a Dev potentially, and he will notch his 1000th game. The guy has been great for this team and has been here his entire career.

I dont disagree about his service at all but its the fire that I like in Palms.

I just dont see it in Greene and Zajac. They are great players and very humble but are they high energy enough ?

Anyways I wouldnt be shocked if we went a year or two without a captain.

If we where going all in to win that year as in the team would never have a chance of being better then they would have done more then added Grabner and Lovejoy.

The fact is at that point Hall had never made the playoffs and Ray wanted to give him a taste to help keep him here even Though he couldnt sign for another year at least.

Everyone knew if we got in we where one and done.

That entire shift by Hughes during the 12 to 11 minute mark of the first was unreal!

Cuts out front and almost lofts a backhander top shelf then gets the puck back swoops to the blue line and flings it on net. Then backchecks and knocks the guy off the puck !

Doing it all I love it!

He just needs an MVP type LW and he’d be unstoppable. Someone who could really Hall the puck around and create havoc.

Hall's departure may end up with the team playing better, as a team. They have been, in ny opinion playing far below their collabortive pieces would be expected to perform. If they even play average/ pretty good hockey it would be better than what we have seen. There must have been some things going wrong. Hynes was one, maybe the Hall ordeal was another.

I never was one to criticize or comment on all the rumors he is not good in the locker room, but it couldn't have been a positive thing having the best player on the team on his way out either way, and he always had sort of an irritable/standoffish nature to him, that I always chalked up to confidence. I could be totally off base but something tells me I am not. They kissed the guys ass trying to get him to sign. Say what you want, but a guy arguing about a 2 or 3 million dollar contract can't not look at a guy turning his nose up at a 10 million dollar payday a certain way. Any of our offices I am sure would operate better if the guy or woman that was a cranky/spoiled wienerhead suddenly left (regardless of their talent) and we could just do our jobs without all the added stress and drama of that bs.
