He’d look good on any of those teams. Florida is really intriguing.

I said it b4 and I will say it again. Hall is going to the KHL. He is sick of flushing toilets in North America and playing in Mother Russia.

Islanders definitely not in on Hall because they are an E4 on Athanasiou.

Would be shocked if Isles get Hall unless he signs extension and even then would be shocked. He would easily fir their top 6 and maybe 3 but the price of picks, players and prospects for a guy they could get in the Summer for just cash I don't see happening.

I would rather them target someone such as Mike Hoffman who although older I think will play a better defense than Hall which is a Trotz must.

Hall an E4 I would say, lol Athanasiou to Islanders would be sweet. E4 I hope, he has blazing speed and would excel getting out of the Dead Wing morgue.

Hope it happens, if he gets motivated he can be a serious goal scoring threat. Exciting player but not much of a playmaker.

Dont know why Shero did not have point blank honest conversation with Hall last May before draft and free agency and ask Hall “Are you seriously considering signing with us?”...and told him “Taylor we are going to make significant roster moves to prove to you tbis is where you belong!”...Because as it turns out Ray did all these roster moves with Hall in mind and now 5 months later its all for nothing...If they knew Taylor was honestly not extending then theres no way the PK trade goes down..theres no way Simmonds is signed even for 1 year in my opinion...You can even argue Gusev would not be here as Ray may have wanted to hold onto all his draft picks. Very sad he after having MVP year a few years back we couldnt have had a future with Hall but I guess now we turn it over to Nico Hughes Butcher Smith and hopefully guys like Bratt & Boqvist...get feeling Palms will shipped out too no sense him staying for rebuilding would love to see him get shipped to Bruins the guy has been a great Jersey born Devil...time for himto enjoy a Stanley Cup victory!

That conversation almost certainly took place, Hall presumably said the same thing he’s said this entire time, that he wants to maximize his chance of postseason success by playing for a good team that’s close. Shero made some moves but not nearly enough moves, didn’t sufficiently address goaltending, most crucially left a terrible staff in place, and it all went to poop by the third period of game 1.

I would be shocked too but.....Lou is the one GM that doesn't hold "prospects" as high as other GM's do. I remember years ago with the Devils of him saying " prospects are just prospects" when talking about some of the young Devil prospects at the time. I can see Lou "over-paying" a little with prospects to get the player he wants.

They should probably stop scratching him if they're expecting to get that. An extended Stone only got a top prospect, a 2nd, and a dude. Hall will get a bit better return since the deadline is so far away, but not much better. A prospect/young player, 1st round pick, and a dude is the best they're going to get.

If the Devils can convince Lucic to move to Jersey, the Flames will give multiple first round picks, Bennett, and whatever prospect (no Pelletier) they want for Hall.

Here is the good part for NJD

Arizona
edmonton

They can say whatever they want. They don't have a choice anymore. He has to be traded so they'll take the best offer. Doesn't matter if it's 1, 2, or 3 parts.

Why would Hall sign with the Islanders in the off-season? A bit delusional? Also did you just use Mike Hoffman and better defense in the same sentence together? Check please

The Islanders don’t have cap space for him next year anyway, and shouldn’t trade what it will likely take to get him. It’s pointless.

Yeah, with only 2 1/2 months until the deadline and 20% of the league interested, their backs are truly against a wall. Otherwise, they might risk derailing the Devils season!
