You may want to go and review the advanced stats of that game... We dominated in every category and just didn't get the result because they made there chances count and we didn't.

By no means am i thrilled with the lose but we didnt play a bad hockey game...

See link below for proof.

I don't think the team has built up enough currency this year for the "good process, unlucky result" narrative to hold water. If you're winning the games you're supposed to win and this happens, then sure. But this group isn't right now.

I am not trying to employ the "good process, unlucky result" as a means to describing our team as a whole. I was only saying that the game last night wasn't "friggin awful" considering how many things the lightning did well.

Yes this team needs to be winning games against playoff teams if we want to have any chance at the post season but taking away a positive that we did a lot of things well in a time of transition should be a good thing. Wins matter more than any stat obviously but it helps you feel a little better knowing the 5-1 lose wasn't because we played a terrible game.

He's apparently calmed down quite a bit over the last few years.

I'm sure the stories of the old Torts are pretty crazy, though.

At some Time ya gotta win the games u should win. Have trouble with Washington, Boston, isles, St. Louis, Colorado. San Jose and Nashville aren’t the teams they were 2 years ago. Those games meant little.

I should clarify. The result was awful.

I liked that the PP is using the back-pass, delayed entry less often.

They are still passing too often when a shooting opportunity arises - still trying for the perfect play. Sometimes you just need a rebound and a mad scramble.

We did put together some nice zone time and some nice plays, but taking the "L" cancels out most of that.
