Devils should pick Bowey up, it would be an improvement on our defense

How is Veleno progressing? I remember he was supposed to be a top pick then dropped big time.

Would love to see how Bowey performs with Morrissey here in Winnipeg. Both made for an excellent pair in Juniors.

He’s having a rough transition to ahl. Was dominant last year in jrs. Only 19 so lots of time to develop

Bowey could definitely use a shoot on a team where he can be paired with a solid Dman. Detroit’s a tough environment for D right now

I just posted a couple of updates. Trying to avoid putting a new article out to quickly on top of this one. Athanasiou injured and out (Bertuzzi has been practicing so that’s a good sign). Abdelkader coming back in, Bowey surprised by demotion and doesn’t sound very happy about the decision

I remember when Madison Bowey (captained?) the Canadian WJC team a few years ago. Then again so did Curtis Lazar, and while he's had his cup of coffee and a few table scraps in the NHL, he still hasnt found his pro game either.

There is no doubt SY called around to gauge interest on Bowey and I'll be shocked if he makes it through waivers, but assuming he does it actually increases his trade value, as teams can stash him on the farm, dump some cap on Detroit, then offer him a QO.

Bowery has a bad attitude. Who needs that on your team...

Now if we could get rid of more dead weight... as in Ericsson and Daley. The main problem is no other teams want them either and I'd rather not see them in GR taking roster spots.

The deadline is indeed noon, but I haven't yet seen it reported wither way (cleared vs. claimed). I wouldn't assume anything yet.

EDIT: NVM, looks like he cleared.

They were reporting Detroit had 3 scouts at the COL/CGY game, take from that what you will. I'm not 100% convinced AA is out with injury, part of me is wondering if he's about to be sent off in a deal. A lot of speculation going around, but not a whole lot of facts, does anyone recall a moment where AA maybe was injured in the last game?

Sign him up.... He looks really good at times and really bad at others. Can’t seem to find any balance with his play but maybe a new start does it.

Don’t do it Stevie.... We have limited offensive talent and not everyone plays a Two-way game. We can’t score so trading talent isn’t the way to go.....

You have to wait and see the return. Stevie has a pretty good track record with trades.

I'll sound like a broken record, but Fabbri was a tremendous deal for Detroit, and he's young enough that he can be a legitimate part of the rebuild. He's been a productive top 6 forward at a very low cost, I don't miss De La Rose in the slightest.

We need more deals like that, even if they don't pan out like Perlini, low risk and potential greater reward is a positive approach.

He turned Conacher into Bishop and Bishop into Cernak.

He also turned Steve Downie into Vasy.

Trust the yzerplan.
