It seems as though they've put him on the fourth line to bring some scoring punch to all of their lines similar to what your Canes are doing as well. While also managing his minutes to keep them low and allow for him to play free and not feel under pressure and being counted on to score points in say the Top 6. Also, having Carpenter with him allows for him to slide out if they want someone else to take a draw. It's working very well for him since being benched for a game. I could definitely see him being bumped the the 3rd line if he continues to develop and get better |

That's a good assessment by my fellow Hawk fan here. I really don't see the team wanting to put the kid through the mental stress of being a Top 6 guy...right now. So then that leaves the third line as an option but I think they like what Kampf has done lately so they leave him where he's at.
Starting tonight, the Hawks schedule is super difficult for the next 4 weeks. Good luck to your boys after they leave town. CAR definitely my 2nd favorite team. |
