Several of you keep talking about a trade, but who in the world is available? Who is going to give up top offensive talent in November when everyone is still in the playoff race?
Further, why are the CBJ going to be sellers at the deadline? Who can they trade and get quality, signed players or high draft picks for? While I admit things might be different in February, I just don't see dumping one of our top 4 or 5 dmen or a front line scorer (if we have one) for more young players (as if we do not have enough of them already) or draft picks (meaning more young players who are years away from playing at a high level) .

I'm not advocating making a trade just to trade. And it probably wouldn't happen until January - because the list of available players expands. This team ain't makin' the playoffs this season. But next year could look a lot better if some moves are made. Not band-aid players, but ones with term, or RFAs.
The offense has to score AT LEAST 3, usually 4, goals to win a game. That's just how our goalies & defense plays - give up too many odd-man rushes.
However, the current offense has difficulty scoring 3+ goals.
Most of our draft pick cupboard is bare, the prospect pipeline is thin, but supposedly we have more defensive depth than most teams, so use that + prospects.
I'd be open to shopping one or more of Savard, Murray + D from Cleveland + pick(s).
and bring in a top-6 forward.
