Bad contract, no doubt about it..
But it’s the worst team in the league, haha. Those numbers are skewed. Graphs and charts don’t show everything that factors into the game. - Arctic_AARDVARK
RELATIVE to his team
meaning he has been awful compared to his teammates which are on HIS team. |

The Karlsson/SJ one might work out well for them
Esp if they trade Demelo and Tierny for more futures.
Also, they need to trade JGP..just load up on picks - senstroll
If they get Pagrioux for 5 at 4, then they would be wise to keep him. |

I’d do this trade 10/10 times. You have to deal with Ceci for a year and don’t have to watch someone, who may be worse, for an additional 4 years. I honestly thought that contract would be much more difficult to move, but LOLttawa bailed you out. (frank)ers - RickJames77

It’s just some made-up metric you guys started using to “prove” the players you like are good, and the players you don’t like are bad. Lol.. |

If I've learned anything recently it's that there's always a sucker GM bailing out another team. Canucks bailed Tampa out AND GAVE THEM A 1st round pick for it. - Aaron_85
It’s like the James Neal Milan Lucic trade. James Neal won’t keep this up, but why would you even consider moving him for Milan Lucic, when he could have a bounce back year and Lucic makes an extra 250k? Makes zero sense |

Someone has to hit the cap floor! Bobby Ryan can't re-negotiate and he can't play forever.
I do agree that they need to make some moves to get more prospects or picks. Honestly, Fabbri should have been a guy they targeted. |

You could probably find a chart or graph that could show you how he’s performed relative to his teammates. That’d solve that problem. |

Didn’t look close enough at the chart before I commented on finding a graph relative to his own team. I assumed if someone was complaining it was comparing the two players directly

Jeeze man.
Its really hard to talk to someone who just disregards facts because it goes against your argument.
I am just going to move on, Id rather talk to some of the other guys on here.

Right. One has a proven record of being decent, why give up after one year?
Also, I know I'm a homer but I felt Dubas had a quality summer and off season. He got rid of mistakes, paid a price for them but he did it for the betterment of the team.
Sure, first round picks are great and all but he already has enough trouble with his cap. He didn't need another one. |

Do you remember the Simpsons's Cone of Ignorance?
Imagine if that was representative of Zaitsev's play and how the people around were brought down by his play.
It's not an imaginary statistic. It's validated by the Simpsons! |

I just sent in his stats

relative to his team he has been awful.
And as Senstroll said, Z has dragged down Chabot. |

I would more agree with this
jeff Veillette
@JeffVeillette
He’s 27, has never had a season close to this, is shooting at 19% and has a 106.2% PDO. Any rational team would sell high on a player like this yesterday.
he had one crazy good playoff year. trade him fast
I would also try to move these players
Namestnikov
Tierny
Hainsey
Demelo
Anderson
Add the picks to the 9 they currently have in the first 2 rounds on 20/21.
they wont, which I am happy about.
Also they run into the problem of not hitting the cap floor. If they werent so poor they would take a contract back to improve the Picks

Graph and charts can be relative to their blood-type for all I care, they aren’t any sort of accurate indicator of a players worth.
Zaitsev has value, maybe not for what his contract is, lol, but he’s still an NHL d man..
It’s just crazy to me how some guys just straight-up root for former teammates to fail. Schadenfreude. |

these types of stats were "made up" by people who are now working for NHL teams.
I prefer to use them over some guy on HB and twitter who has a giant hate on for certain players and is in no way biased in his opinions

I’m not the one going off about a bottom-pairing ex-Leaf on the worst team in the league. Leafs won last night, let’s talk about that. |
