no chance on Makar - MartysBetter88
Absolutely they can.
This is TAYLOR HALL. Not some hack. It feels weird as a Devil fan to have such a hot commodity potentially available so I understand why we cant possibly get something good, but we have an MVP in Taylor Hall.
Anyway is hyopthetical. So pick one =) |

Makar is 21 years old with Niedermayer potential. He has already shown flashes of brilliance and is sporting 11 points in 14 games this season playing top minutes. The Avs aren't trading him for a player that is injury prone and going to want at least 10 million/year on a max term contract who will spend the majority of that contract on the wrong side of 30. |

If your negative assessment is right, then we can expect only a bag of pucks in return. |

Officially Hischier on the top line. Maybe Hynes is just rewarding him but I don't get it. |

This isn't black and white you know. Just because we can't get anybody we want doesn't mean it won't be a strong return. Makar is untouchable. |

it's a soon to be 28 year-old knee injury history top line LW, for a 21yr old dynamite defenseman. |

Im sorry I offended everyone with a hypothetical, fun question regarding a potential trade. It wont happen again. |

I don't think anyone is offended... Put it this way, would you trade Jack Hughes for Hedman right now? Hypothetically speaking of course. |

Nah, we been playing really well. Surely you can see the cogs are in sync and the play of the team is more confident and better. It took a few weeks but I think the worst is behind us. |

I agree if you’re only describing the offense. I don’t think this team can be considered real until they get an NHL-caliber goalie. Maybe that’s Blackwood, but I’d want to see him be good for more than a couple games in a row before getting too optimistic.

One of three things will happen
We come out flat and get manhandled
They start to click and find a way to win
Home opener dejavu where we have a multiple goal lead in the third and find a way to lose

I get that hall and Nico have chemistry and Hughes hasn't been that effective 5v5 but Nico and zacha played well together
And I believe one of the reasons gusev was sat was due to his defense so hynes puts him with one forward who is effective in all zones and Hughes who isn't known for his defense
I really thought they would have just put gusev in bratts spot
Hall Hughes palms
Zacha Nico gusev
Boqvist zajac Simmonds
Wood Rooney Hayden
Well I'm sure the lines will switch a bunch during the game |

Its not just the fit on our side, but who Hynes plans on putting our guys against that determines Nico or Jack. If he plans on having Hall against the top line than Nico should be the 1C. If Travis and Co. play against the top than you'd prob see Jack with Hall.
