The Habs have also sent their VP of Hockey Operations to Buffalo tonight. Are the Habs eye balling a package that consists of Marco Scandella (currrently injured) and Conor Sheary OR Scandella and Evan Rodrigues, a healthy scratch?

Perhaps Taylor Hall is on the minds of Jason Botterill and Ralph Krueger. Hall has had a rather antagonistic past couple of weekd with the fans of the Devils. The pending UFA clearly wants out of New Jersey. Hall turns 28 next week and is an unrestricted freee agent on July 1, 2020.

Hall doesn't "clearly want out of NJ". If he did, he ain't going to go to Buffalo becuase he played one unsuccessful season with Kreuger in EDM. Besides, the Sabres will need to pay their own RFA's soon enough. How much will Dahlin cost?

I always find it interesting that these scouts attend the games to watch the players who are not playing. Are they there to interview them and share a beer in the press box throughout the game? How does that make any sense whatsoever? If those teams are looking for a defenseman, then it's likely still Risto that they are watching. Who cares if Risto is saying the right things now? He is around his teammates daily, so he isn't going to bad mouth the situation with no end in sight. He is the only guy they can afford to trade whom would have any value to another team... especially if you are mentioning Drouin or Hall. Scandella and Rodrigues, seriously? And how many 1st round picks are the Sabres going to include?
