Let's just say that he doubles his current production and ends up with 16 points. Is there any other forward in the NHL who is playing 15 minutes a night and has lower production while playing with that caliber of player?

I would guess no.

As for the quote, Mojo is an alternate captain and he's saying all the right things. When Eichel had to play with Girgensons, I'm sure he said the same things

Mike Grier had 23 points and was a -7 playing 14:22 a night on the second line with Drury when we went to the conference final.

I hated it. So many unbelievably talented players on that team, probably 10 top six forwards, and there was Grier eating up minutes, missing Drury wide open, shovelling the puck into the chest protector of the goalie on breakaways, and just generally doing nothing offensively.

Coaches think differently than fans. Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are wrong and end up fired. If the Sobotka experiment is to be called a success, at some point I feel he has to put up at least a few more points, but I bet Freddy doesn't see it that way.

Bc coaches measure the overall production of the line
Often, plays are made that don’t show up on the scoresheet that lead to goals, or at least chances

Someone was on here the other day with Skinner quotes saying he likes playing with Sobotka and how he’s doing things that help the line as a unit

The nhl network had some Mittelstadt film review on the OT goal. For. The film, he was fat and slow. Then made a couple nice plays.

This board stinks

Eichel
Reinhart
Skinner
Johansson
Sheary
Mitts
Oloffson
LOG
Jokiharju
Dahlin
Miller
even Scandella!

Have all been varying levels of awesome this year.

Between Pilut, Montour, Risto, McCabe, we have assets to play with via trade

Cozens to replace Sobotka next year.

The coaching is finally extremely competent

Shat the frank up for once and enjoy the ride
