Its pretty concerning having Kuhnackle playing first line minutes. I have been very pleased thus far with the islanders last season and then this season, but if that's the best Lou can do for Barzal then its a fail. Make a trade if you have to..
They went 9 years without flanking Tavares with real top end talent. They better not play that game with Barzal |

I don’t know man for a first line winger these are some sexy stats right here;
2019-2020 Regular Season
GP G A P +/-
5 0 0 0 -1
What’s even more funny about those numbers or lack there of is Barzal has been pretty much single handily winning us games lately in an offense sense. You would figure he would have had an assist by accident by now😂 |

Imagine if Barzal had a real winger??? I was hoping the days of throwing journeymen on top line were over. One can make an argument that they've been playing well, but we all know Kuhnackle is not the answer. |

Of course. Eberle is out so he does have a good winger along with Lee so it’s not like kuhnackl is his normal winger but I agree he doesn’t exactly fit the bill imo. With that said we’ve won four in a row so I doubt Trotz changes anything up at this point. I couldn’t be happier they won those games but I would say 3 of the 4 were let’s just say tough wins...
Hopefully they come back healthier and better from this break though I’m starting to get a little concerned Eberle’s injury may be long term... |

Fair point and I get that Eberle's injury is what caused Kuhnackle on that line. I just want Barzal to have equal talent and not journeymen like they did with Tavares for YEARSSSS. |

I don’t think there’s anyone that doesn’t agree with this. Lou shot for panarin and missed. Up until this point there hasn’t been an answer. I would really like to see Wahlstrom get a legit shot on his wing. He seems to have the tools but he’s being wasted playing with Brassard may as well see if we have what we’re looking for in Wahlstrom imo. We already know what kuhnackl has.
Maybe Wahlstrom isn’t ready I have no idea but we’ll never know what he’s really got playing with brassard. I have a feeling Trotz is going to give him a shot soon with Barzal. |

This is exactly why he’s on the first line. His regular line mates are Lee and Ebs.
He’s in a lot better company that JT was team wide ever. |

Once Casey is back. I’m thinking Wahlstrom will get his shot on Barzal line.
He will have Casey and Nelly’s line solid then and he can give the rookie a shot on the first line. |

Hey Ben, still any Rumors out there involving the Isles and Laine? He would look awesome besides Barzal on the 1rst line... |

Not sure what Cizikas coming back has to do with Wahlstrom playing on the first line unless I’m missing something? I get it we have more depth but I’m failing to see the connection when it’s only going to have an effect on the fourth line not the second(you brought up Nelson)I’m not being sarcastic. |

No BS or sarcasm, I get it Cpt. Just a discussion and some opinions.
Just a gut feeling. He will have 2 of his better d responsible lines together Leo will be off the 4th and maybe make the 3rd better and can let the rookie play up with Barzal and Lee. Basically will have 3 of his regular 4 lines together and can give the rookie a shot. Again a gut feeling. It’s what I would do which means absolutely nothing |

Why is everyone nagging on dorkhammer ? What's he done wrong ? Barzal is on fire, 4 wins a row. He's playing well, and that's the end of it. Can there be un upgrade, yup lol, but there isn't yet. |
