The defense stinks, plain and simple.

Their zone exits are horrible, they don't move people from the net, and as we saw yesterday, sometimes when they aren't clearing the net, they don't even bother to tie guys up. P.K. is pressing and trying to do too much. Other than him the rest are bottom pairing defencemen on a good team.

You can point to the forwards, and a mistake here and there that lead to goals, but really the entirety of their games have been a struggle to move the puck out of the zone.

Great article, Jay. Truly fun to read.

The team is complete goat (frank).

Hynes didn't get this team into the playoffs two seasons ago. Taylor Hall did with a couple of other guys playing out of their minds. They had a fast start then but weren't a great team for most of the stretch....

Only thing I'll add is that Simmonds isn't even spending that much time at the net mouth on the PP which is by itself a mystery.

If this team gets embarrassed by the Rangers on Thursday (and it's hard not to see that coming) everyone in Devilville is going to lose their poop for sure.

Go Scouts!

I was too young to see them play but I imagine it was a bit like the last 6 games for the Devils.
