Also, an 18 yr old I've never heard of just scored on the Pens. Good times. |

Talk about trash goaltending. Bob chased after 1 period. 4 goals on 10 shots.
Canes look very solid so far this season. |

I am hoping that they can take advantage of NJ's suspect D and tending, but they always seem to give us fits..doesn't matter who they have on their roster. Simmer is also going to be motivated as hell to show us up. |

We'll sign Stewart to a 1 day contract this afternoon so he can handle this. Simmer will beat him into retirement thus alleviating cap issues. |

I know its all the travel, but the fact the Flyers will not have played their third game until Saturday night is kind of nuts. |

Why would Simmonds beat his best friend into retirement? |

It's going to be painful to see Simmonds in a NJ Devils sweater. |

This is easily the most unfair schedule I can remember as a Flyers fan. Three different countries in eight days. |

I can stomach Schenn playing elsewhere but Simmonds is a totally different story. Simmer signing with the Devils is a clear example of him wanting to stay close to home in my opinion. |

You guys should be happy with the schedule. New coach, new system, new players. It's going to take time for everyone to mesh and to get AVs system down. Plus a road trip like that can bring everyone together similiar to our first year with AV when the Rangers went to Europe and had that brutal game vs SJ that essentially retired Biron
Or from another perspective, you are getting the always difficult Western Canada road trip out of the way early. |

That factored into it. So did being told by Ray that he'd still have a prominent role. |

I doubt he'd consider that if they squared up. |

I agree. It's not being negative but rather stating fact. I wouldn't be shocked if they came out flat today with the time off. |

That is one of the benefits, I'll admit, but overall I think it's a detriment. The games have to be made up later in the year, and our March April sched is insane. |

*Edit Rangers went to Europe in 11-12 with Torts when we went to the ECF. We just opened with a really long road trip with AV in 13-14 |

If you have any momentum, those extra games can actually be a good thing. I'd rather play most of my games when everything is clicking, then when the team is trying to figure everything out. Towards the end of the year, those games in hand can be a saving grace. |
