In the things you don't notice - that I never would have noticed - Justin Bourne pointed out that in that beautiful behind the back pass from Marner for the Matthews one-timer - it's only successful because JT tied up Pageau's stick just before Marner made the move. In a split second he recognized the plan, and help execute it.

Neat. Yeah, I never noticed for sure. That's the mark of a smart player. Quick thinking and grasping of the plan, then executing something seemingly simple like that.

It was the perfect tank. They worked hard, rarely got blown out, always ended up losing despite a fine effort, then finished last and drafted Auston Matthews.
I respected the tank team more than the Burke/Nonis teams.

Yeah, I noticed when I went up to visit my parents not too far out from Powassan and was listening to the station. I know it's different this year for sure. I think I first noticed the change a year or two ago though.

The simulator is fun. Oh how I remember the nauseating possibilities it would spit out. But the actual lotto that year came up so Leafs as I remember. They won, and their major enemies got (frank)ed over at the same time. It was beautiful.
