I thought the league does an orientation for players to not pull this kind of poop? Plus the team, plus the agent.... In the #metoo era, that guard could make a big stink. His bozo friends could have pulled the , "prank", why'd they let Matthews do it? Pretty stupid move.

There's a famous story about two Leafs (99% certain one was Salming, and I can't remember the other one) who were walking back to a hotel, found a shop had forgot to lock a door or something - anyhoo, they stole a golf cart, drove it into the hotel, tried to drive it up the stairs in the lobby, and got stuck. They had to call the fire department.

And the other guy (dammit - can't franking remember who it was) would tell this story as everyone around him (including reporters) would howl with laughter.

Those were the days.
