Is it better for Sandin's overall development to get 15 minutes a night with the big club, or 23 minutes a night with the Marlies, playing in all situations?

sometimes I feel being up with the big boys, doing the practices, travel, etc is also good and part of the NHL learning curve

but certainly playing top minutes in all situations in the A can't hurt

I think that's better for him. But I do think he'll get a few games with the Leafs this season.

Because Rielly and Barrie are both ahead of him for power play ice time, and the power play is where he'd mostly succeed right now.

Since it'd be a 3rd pairing spot available, give some games to Liljegren because he's better defensively. That's how I see it anyways.

(1) a forward or defenseman who played in thirty (30) NHL Games during the previous season,

(2) a goaltender who either dressed in fifty (50) or more NHL Games or played in thirty (30) or more NHL Games in the previous season,

(3) a first round draft choice from the most recent year's Entry Draft, or

(4) any Player who has played one-hundred (100) or more career NHL Games.

I think the bottom pairing will be Harpur/Schmaltz unfortunately.

They'll have to make a trade when Dermott comes back (or go with a 20 man roster) for Sandin to play all 82 i believe. They can't afford a 900k dman back there (how (frank)ing mental is that).
