Now Maurice's refusing to play Niku, Nogier and Poolman a bit over the last 2 seasons is coming to haunt this team. Now we have Morrissey and a group of 7/8 caliber d-men and rookies who Maurice won't play. The Jets are a mess. Hopefully things get straighten out soon or the Jets will be hard pressed to make the playoffs.

If Buf retires his cap disappears. Only players signed 35 yrs of age or older leave the team with a cap liability when they retire.

If he continues to sit out - then his cap counts, but they could put him on 'non-active roster' which opens up his roster spot, but keeps the cap.
